[Ming] An Cai (1480 ~ 1540) was born in Jiading, Zhili (now Jiading, Shanghai). Zheng Dejiu (15 14), the third scholar of Xu Jia.

Cai Ang was smart and studious since childhood, and his only hobby was reading. But he is poor and can't afford books, so he often borrows books from people who have books and reads them at a glance.

Cai Ang won the second place in the examination in two years (1507). Zheng Dejiu (15 14) won the third place in the two palace examinations and was awarded to Hanlin for editing. In the fourth year of Jiajing (1525), he completed the compilation of Wu Zong Shi Lu, and was promoted to the right praise of Chunfang. In the 11th year of Jiajing (1532), Ming Hui Dian was compiled, and he was promoted to a bachelor's degree and assistant lecturer in Hanlin. Soon, due to mistakes, it was reduced to Huzhou Prefecture. The following year, he was recalled from his post.

In the 11th year of Jiajing (1532), Song Cang, the governor of Sichuan Province, won the White Rabbit in Liangshan County and presented it to Sejong. The Ministry of Rites asked Hanlin officials to write poems to celebrate, but what about Wang Shangshu, the official department? Cai Ang, the lecturer, presented poems and Yan Fu, the minister of rites, were all praised by Sejong. Only the lecturer Guo was dismissed and lived an idle life. Since then, officials from all over the city have paid tribute to the emperor, and Song Cang has also been nicknamed "The White Rabbit is an imperial envoy".

In the 12th year of Jiajing (1533), Wu Shan, Chen Fu, Henan Province, got a white deer in Lingbao County and presented it to Sejong and Lianggong. Sejong ordered all civil servants to write poems to celebrate. Cai Ang wrote a poem "Lu Rui Fu", which was classical and beautiful, deeply appreciated by Sejong, and became famous for a while.

Cai Ang is generous and strict. He once served as an examiner in the rural examination and will try the exam with the examiner three times. In Hanlin History Museum, he served at banquets for nearly 30 years. He used to be left assistant minister of the Ministry of Rites and a bachelor of Hanlin.
