What is pushing molars back?

Pushing molars backward in orthodontic navigation is a common method to obtain the same gap in orthodontics, also called pushing molars far. In math books, it's called molar moving away from molar, which means moving away from our midline. Its sale is to make the posterior molars (big teeth) move clockwise in turn, make room for front teeth to ask questions, let front teeth queue up to ask questions, or collect them as a whole.

What will push the molars back?

In order not to extract teeth, many orthodontic patients will ask: Can you push the molars back? But in fact, it has strict indications and contraindications in clinical application.

Indications: D flat collapse needs horizontal growth type, the height of the anterior lower side is normal, and the lower plane angle is normal or small; (l) Orthodontic malocclusion. Distal molar relationship may be accompanied by mild or moderate crowding of upper and lower dentition or premature loss of deciduous teeth. The periodontal condition of micro-convex clamp or straight molar is good, the crown height is enough, and there is no obvious resistance behind porcelain teeth.

② The crown of eagle tooth inclines to the middle, the molar gap limit analysis can accommodate the pushed molar, the second molar is exposed or the third molar has been extracted, and the alveolar base bone is full; ③ The frequency of the upper anterior teeth is slightly higher than that in the front view.

Contraindications: ① The analysis of molar space shows that the available space of patients is obviously insufficient; ② The upper dentition is severely crowded, and the lower dentition has moderate or severe bridge support; ③ The axis of molars is obviously inclined to the selected position, and the facial process is large.

Why is it suggested to push back the molars for invisible correction?

Traditionally, if the molars need to be pushed back due to centering, some devices, such as anchors, are often needed to help the teeth move. Because of the gap between the shaver and the bow, the fixed field pushes the teeth backward, which may lead to a certain degree of tilting movement, and even lead to the situation that the teeth are long, the fulcrum moves backward and the lower teeth can rotate clockwise. The invisible robot gradually moves to the displacement of the target position by replacing the robot.

As an integrated overbridge appliance, the invisible appliance can better control the whole movement of teeth and the transmission of chair force. In the process of carina correction, all the teeth in the arch of the target tooth are used as anchorage when the molar is moved far away, and the stress in the process is mostly concentrated in the crown and neck of the molar, so the molar movement efficiency is high, the overall movement effect is good, and problems such as inclination are not easy to occur.
