Can you be poisoned by eating expired jelly? What kind of chemical changes will happen to expired jelly?
Eating expired jelly will be poisoned.

Jimei University has 34 students suffering from food poisoning. According to the investigation sent by the relevant health and epidemic prevention departments, these poisoned students suddenly have symptoms such as headache, fever, stomachache and frequent diarrhea, and some are accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, general fatigue and drowsiness. According to the test results of blood samples and feces of poisoned students, the hemogram of poisoned students is generally high, and there are white fungus balls in feces, which is initially diagnosed as "food poisoning after bacterial infection".

In addition, as far as I know, I will ask the relevant health and industrial and commercial departments. The Municipal Health and Epidemic Prevention Station has carried out a special inspection of food hygiene in summer. In some schools and their surrounding canteens, restaurants and grocery stores, we found that the sanitary conditions were worrying. Some tableware in some restaurants is not disinfected, flies are flying in the store, and some employees have no health certificates; Some grocery stores actually sell a drink called Juicy Cool, which is actually a "three noes" drink made of pigment and essence and water. There is no production date, factory name and address. Some restaurants and restaurants don't have any disinfection equipment, raw and cooked meat are mixed together, and some take food directly by hand without tools.

Recently, in the "Ten Thousand People Counterfeiting Action", Tongan Industrial and Commercial Branch seized more than 70 boxes of inferior drinks and food1in a grocery store. Among the seized foods, some have no labels, and some are expired drinks produced by 1998. What's more frightening is that many jellies have gone moldy. Squeeze it gently, and the rotten water will flow out, which is disgusting.

In view of the above situation, the Municipal Consumer Council reminds consumers that it is the summer heat season and the high incidence season of gastrointestinal infections, so special attention should be paid to food hygiene. When buying food, you should see clearly the name, address and production date of the factory, and don't eat expired or deteriorated food. We suggest that the relevant health and industrial and commercial departments strengthen the standardized management of restaurants and grocery stores in schools and surrounding areas in accordance with the Food Hygiene Law, and give rectification within a time limit to those restaurants and grocery stores that sell expired and deteriorated food without a license and have poor sanitary conditions, and investigate and punish those who repeatedly make mistakes and cause serious consequences according to law.
