2. Hide the background layer and operate on the copied layer. Click the channel panel, hold down the ctrl key and click the channel RGB to load the highlight.
3. Go back to the Layers panel and press and hold ctrl+j to copy the selection to the new layer.
4. Hold down the ctrl key and click the thumbnail of the new layer. After loading the selection, fill it with white (or a color close to white) and the effect will come out.
5. Next, you need to add layer mask to the new layer (you can add layer mask by clicking the symbol selected in the box). Below we can choose a gray brush to smear in a brighter place, and we can find that the brightness is reduced.
6. If you still feel that the whole layer is bright, you can also reduce the opacity of the new layer and reduce the brightness of the layer.
