The so-called time management is to give up selectively.
Author ~ Teacher Shao Yi
Every time I hear about time management, I always think of it as a "robot" life, with fixed time to do fixed things. But what this book conveys is how to give up selectively, so that you can improve the utilization ratio of output per unit time without wasting time.
The four quadrants of time management in the book:
Important and urgent
Is it important or not?
Urgency is not important.
No hurry, it's not important.
I hope the sooner you understand these ideas of controlling time, the better. Not only should we look hard, but we should also plan our blessings.
Plan ahead what you should do most in the day, and then find out what you must do. The rest can be done or not.
Daily plan, monthly plan, quarterly plan, annual plan, every three years plan and so on.
Look before you leap, don't let time fail your efforts.
Don't do things by "intuition" before doing things. First, think about the ways and means to do things well, and summarize the answers in the ways and means, and things will eventually have good results.
Apply the "if" principle ... and then ... "
Many times, because I am too tired at work, I always think that today's things will be put off until tomorrow, resulting in habitual delay. Might as well suggest yourself psychologically.
For example, if I don't exercise at night, I will be laughed at by others because of my obesity; If I didn't recite the words today, my English score would not improve; If I don't finish the project PPT, the leader will scold me tomorrow.
When you often make this kind of positive psychological suggestion, you can stay away from procrastination and manage your time well.
Learn to refuse and avoid wasting time on bad things.
As the saying goes, "the general is on the road and doesn't chase rabbits." Cattle people often spend their time on self-breakthrough and never waste their breath on useless things.
For example, if you are writing a plan wholeheartedly and your colleague wants you to print documents for him, then you should refuse decisively and focus on your important and urgent work, which is also the case in many cases.
The more advanced the goal, the more it needs to be delayed.
Desire is endless, and short-term goals can only satisfy temporary desires. If you want to achieve longer-term happiness, you need to set long-term goals.
For example, in order to achieve the long-term goal of losing 50 pounds, a fat man who is losing weight can refuse the temptation to eat snacks after each exercise, scientifically realize the original weight loss goal step by step, and form a good habit of persisting in exercise.
Some ideas:
We should all be masters of time, not slaves of time. Who can balance time, who can control life, and know how to subtract instead of add when managing time. The distance of life is often opened in leisure.
