The Spice Girls have never been to Chinese mainland as a group. During the period of 1997, the spice girls went to Hong Kong and Taiwan for publicity, but did not go to the mainland to explore the market.

In 2004, victoria beckham went to Shanghai as a judge of the model contest. This is the only time the Spice Girls have arrived in Chinese mainland.

The Chinese translation of "Spice Girl" was first put forward by Taiwan Province scholar Ms. Chen Wenxi. The word "Spice Girl" is of course native to China, and the "Spice Girl" in Song Zu Ying was born before the Spice Girls. Spice means pepper, seasoning. Come to think of it, the word "spice girl" is the most appropriate translation.
