Focusing on dubbing is really hard to accept. The supporting actor's voice (Big Head's two good friends and Big Head's neighbor) is better than the protagonist's. Personally, I think the voice of the protagonist is bigger than the other two, and the voices of mom and dad are equally strange. First of all, the voices of the protagonists are all children's program hosts (Scarab, Dong Hao, Ju Ping).
These three kinds of dubbing inevitably bring their professional characteristics. The children's program hosts I've met all speak in a slightly exaggerated tone, like imitating a child's tone (personally, sometimes it's a bit neither fish nor fowl to push too hard). Among the three voices, this feature of Ju Ping is the most prominent. Moreover, because the role of Big Head is a child and the voice of the beetle is close to that of a child, her dubbing is not so abrupt. Dong Hao's voice is too rough and hoarse, and the timbre doesn't sound good. Ju Ping's voice is too sharp and her tone is exaggerated.
If you ask me, I still like the old version.
