1.PV IV test chart is measured by the IV curve tester shown in the above figure, and the purpose is to judge the quality of the components to be tested by the shape of the IV curve. Usually, the curve of the parts with problems is not smooth, and different shapes represent different faults. 2. Generally, the following information can be obtained by measuring IV characteristics:

Series and polarity open circuit voltage (Voc) and short circuit current (Isc).

Maximum power point voltage (Vmpp), current (Impp) and peak power (Pmax)

PV module/string fill factor FF

Identify defects or shadows of photovoltaic modules/arrays.

Dust accumulation loss, temperature rise loss, power attenuation, series-parallel adaptive loss calculation, etc.
