What is the material of Saigang?
Saigang, also known as POM, is abbreviated as POM in English.

Saigang is a tough and elastic material, which has good creep resistance, geometric stability and impact resistance even at low temperature. It has excellent properties, such as fatigue resistance, creep resistance, wear resistance and heat resistance.

Saigang is not easy to absorb moisture, its specific gravity is 1.42g/cm3, its shrinkage rate is 2.1%(the high crystallinity of POM leads to its high shrinkage rate, which can reach 2%~3.5%), its size is difficult to control, and its thermal deformation temperature is 172℃.

Process characteristics of Saigang:

Saigang does not need to dry before processing, but it is best to bake at about 90 degrees when processing, which is beneficial to the stability of product size.

The processing temperature range of Saigang is very narrow (195-2 15℃), and it will decompose if it stays in the gun barrel for a little longer or the temperature exceeds 220℃ (homopolymer material is190 ~ 230℃; * * * The polymer material is 190~2 10). The screw speed should not be too high, and the residue should be less.

Saigang has high specific heat, high mold temperature (80- 105℃), and the product is very hot after demoulding, so it is necessary to prevent scalding fingers. The injection pressure is 700~ 1200bar, and POM should be molded at medium pressure, medium speed and high mold temperature.
