Sitting still is not necessarily good! Three "moving" machines make children pay more attention.

It's time to practice calligraphy again, and the teacher is ready, because every time he practices calligraphy, Yu Dou Jr. has to stand up and run all over the venue in less than five minutes, and he not only runs by himself, but also disturbs other students everywhere, and finally divides the class into three categories.

The first class began to complain to the teacher, the second class followed Xiaoyu, and only two or three of them belonged to the third class: Keep writing! For the sake of class order, every time the teacher meets static practice time, Xiaoyu is always asked to sit in the teacher's seat, hoping that he can be vigilant, but it always backfires.

Why do children always like to run around and refuse to sit still? Almost all mothers' troubles start when their children eat when they are young! Every time I feed my children, they always run around to let their mothers catch up, but after dinner, it becomes a "weight loss class" for their mothers.

So some mothers "tie" their children to their seats while eating, hoping that their children can learn table manners and establish good eating habits, but in fact, it may take longer to tie their children to their seats than to let them run around! There are two reasons for this:

First, the child is not hungry at all.

Some children may eat snacks before meals, but they don't feel hungry at dinner time, and the heat brought by snacks makes children fidget. So when will they not "run" at this time?

Second, the more restrictions, the greater the resistance.

Modern children are no longer suitable for high-pressure parenting, because the higher the pressure, the greater the rebound; The more they sit still, the more they want to leave their seats, which makes their mother very unhappy!

Under such circumstances, we suggest that the motivation of children to eat should be established first. This "motivation" is not necessarily because he is hungry, but makes him feel that eating is a "fun" thing!

We have let several mothers try. At first, we fed him a bite, and then told him that you could play for ten seconds. Ten seconds later, we called the child back and fed him two bites. If the child is disobedient, then he can't not only play, but even eat!

Some people may ask, is this too inhuman? In fact, human's "internal drive" will make us look for food when we are hungry, but we have gradually established the habit of children eating regularly, so don't be afraid of children being hungry! Another mother asked, let the child take a bite and let him run. Will there be problems with digestion?

I will! So this is only a transitional period, because no child is so willing to bite, play, bite and play, so the mother can guide the child and keep asking him if he wants to play well. Then as long as you finish this bowl, the rest of the time can be given to the children!

Clinical experiments show that after adopting this strategy for about one week, 75% children can sit quietly and eat a meal in one day and continue until they finish eating.

Recommended reading: let the children sit down to eat, and a small game will be done.

Eating is like this, so is reading and writing! We all hope that children can sit at the desk and read and write safely, but let's think about it. When we read with the master in the TV costume drama, is every student shaking his head and reading aloud? Then why should we let our children study with peace of mind?

Looking at reading from the perspective of sensory integration, we receive the words in the book through "vision" and then enter the brain for processing. If a single neural processing process makes the brain feel tired and unwilling to continue processing information, some people will read the words in the book while reading, in order to increase hearing and let the brain switch between visual and auditory information occasionally.

Action is also a way to help the brain process information. On the one hand, when the child is running and jumping, the brain will produce serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine, which can make the child emotionally stable and process the received knowledge smoothly.

On the other hand, rhythmic exercise can make the brain process poems, scriptures and other words efficiently, so children will jump or swing regularly. In fact, at this time, the brain's ability to process information has improved!

But the teacher will ask, you can't let the children run around in class, can you? The whole classroom is too noisy for children to study! So you can use the following three ways, and you can also try it when studying at home!

First, move, and then learn:

When children need static study, they might as well arrange a dynamic activity first, such as walking around the playground, going up and down the stairs, or dancing to music, which can not only stabilize their brains, but also consume some extra calories. After the activity, wipe your sweat, take a few deep breaths with your child, and then sit at your desk and start reading.

Second, set the scope of activities:

Don't force children to study in their seats. Some children may like to shake their feet and chairs. Although these may be unsightly or dangerous, if they are within an acceptable range, they are a way to help children improve their learning efficiency.

We can also discuss with our children to set the range of activities when reading, so that children can read while sitting, standing and walking, and occasionally change their posture, which can reduce the muscle pain caused by sitting for a long time and make reading easier.

Recommended reading: Is the child restless?

Third, the seat is unstable:

We will find that some children sit in a chair with two legs and learn faster than sitting well, but children often forget their inappropriate sitting posture, which is dangerous. Foreign schools will not force children to sit in chairs, but give them a big dragon ball, which will make them slightly shake and bounce up and down, which will make their studies more smooth.

On the other hand, in our learning environment, there is really not much room for children to sit on the dragon ball, so the cushion filled with air and water is a good choice. They are also unstable seats and allow children to shake, which is helpful for most children!

We find that modern children don't have enough opportunities to move, that is, they don't get enough "vestibular information", so the brain will send instructions to keep the children moving, so the children are "active" and inattentive!

Therefore, in addition to changing the learning style, we should also cultivate children's exercise habits at ordinary times, so that children can vent their physical strength at ordinary times and get * * * exercise. Only when they sit down for classes, reading, writing and even exams can they sit still and sit for a long time.
