Hu Dayi, chief physician, professor, doctoral supervisor, national outstanding contribution expert, chief health education expert of the Ministry of Health, and head of cardiovascular medicine, a national key discipline. 1970 graduated from Beijing medical college (now peking university health science center), 1985- 1987 studied at new york state university medical college and university of Illinois medical college in Chicago. He is currently a member of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases of Peking University People's Hospital, director of the Heart Center, director of the Department of Cardiology of Capital Medical University, director of the Cardiopulmonary Vascular Center of the Beijing Military Region General Hospital, executive director of the Chinese Medical Association, chairman-designate of the Cardiovascular Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, chairman of the Beijing Cardiovascular Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and former dean of the Medical College of Tongji University. Former Chairman of Heart Rhythm Branch of China Biomedical Engineering Society, President of Cardiovascular Physician Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, former Chairman of Evidence-based Medicine Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Chairman of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases Committee of China Gerontology Association, Vice President of Beijing Medical Doctor Association, Chairman of Beijing Health Association, Member of American Heart Association, Member of Heart Rhythm Association, Adjunct Professor of Fudan University and Jilin University. He has been editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Cardiology, executive editor of JAMA Chinese edition, international editorial board of European Journal of Cardiology, chairman of editorial board of China Medical Journal, editor-in-chief of China Medical Guide, editor-in-chief of China Cardiovascular Research and Cardiopulmonary Vascular Disease Forum, and deputy editor-in-chief of Chinese Medical Journal, Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine and Chinese Journal of General Practitioners. He won four second prizes for national scientific and technological progress, the Ministry of Health and Beijing Scientific and Technological Progress 13 Prize, the first prize of "Wu Jieping Medical Research Award-Paul Zhan Sen Pharmaceutical Research Award", two outstanding experts and advanced science popularization workers in the capital, the contribution award of the United Nations International Science and Peace Week in 2005, the China Doctor Award in 2006, and the Capital Spiritual Civilization Medal.
