Is "Chill" wonderful?
As a gangster film, the story of the film is dramatic enough and the action scenes are wonderful enough, especially the scene of the explosion of fireworks bombs on the rooftop is dazzling. But in general, there are not many action scenes, which may be deliberate. Except for the scene of the rooftop explosion, it was basically a cut. Maybe because I watched the Mandarin version, I didn't like the scene where Tony Leung Ka Fai met the Aaron Kwok police station, and Aaron Kwok's Mandarin was poor. In addition, the film also lacks emotional factors that can touch people's hearts.

The rhythm of the plot is very calm. In fact, there are not many actions and gun battles in the film, but more content in the office and headquarters. The plot is interlocking, without urine point. After every pause, there is an unexpected climax. Except for the rooftop shootout, there is almost no rhythm flaw. What's more commendable is that the police gangster film didn't show off the police's solving links. The police were honest and efficient in the process of advancing the case, and didn't show off the police's wisdom. The discovery and deployment of clues are leisurely. I think this is almost close to the state of a truly high-level police (except for the Flying Tigers on the rooftop, there is no reason for a group of people to die one after another in the area). In this way, solving a case without dramatic treatment is more real. If this feature can be maintained in the later episode, it will really set a precedent for gangster movies and jump out of the routine of showing off the wisdom of solving crimes in the popular American TV gangster movies.
