Make two drainage holes in the window frame (the material on the windowsill), one on each side. When it rains, water will flow directly out of the window.
Methods to prevent water from entering the window gap;
1. Install the water deflector. First, cut a stainless steel plate and stick it on the original window lower frame with stones to form a water baffle, which can effectively prevent rainwater from overflowing and facilitate construction. The bonding effect of stone glue is stronger and more lasting, and the bonding effect of metal is better than that of glass glue.
2. Adopt the double window method, that is, add another window outside (inside) the original window. This method costs a lot, which is equivalent to reinstalling an aluminum alloy window, and the windowsill should be wide enough to install. The advantage is that the sound insulation effect is good, but the drainage holes should be handled well and the water in the inner window frame should be discharged in time.
3. When the newly renovated house is renovated, the original window lower frame is replaced by the aluminum alloy frame with the raised lower frame on the market. This raised lower frame is higher than the original lower frame, about 5 cm high. Although there will still be some splash in typhoon weather, it effectively prevents the overflow of accumulated water.
