The special education researcher in our room has the honor to be the deputy head of the curriculum standard development team. While doing a good job of research, he actively created conditions to lead part-time teaching and research staff and business backbones of some schools with mental retardation in our city (six districts in the city and Beichen school with mental retardation) to participate in the formulation of curriculum standards. 5. Actively explore new ways of vocational education in special education schools.
Combined with the advanced experience of studying in Hong Kong Kuangzhi Society, this paper explores a new way to develop vocational education in special education schools in our city. We suggest that Renaissance Riverside Hotel in our city, through the proposal of CPPCC, fund and guide our school in Nankai Yuzhi, the sister school of Hongji Club, to carry out hotel room service and catering vocational skills training for students with mental retardation. This proposal has been highly valued and supported by Renaissance Binjiang Hotel. The boss, vice president and managers of various functional departments of the hotel visited the school many times, carefully designed the scheme, discussed and studied with our room repeatedly, overcame the arduous pressure of the hotel to undertake the service of the Olympic Village of the Beijing Olympic Games, and began renovation construction in summer. The hotel will transform three classrooms into hotel rooms of the school and carry out interior decoration. It will also carry out renovation and construction in safety and fire prevention for schools. After the school starts in autumn, it will help the school to set up school-based courses such as hotel room service, cake making and spoken English.
