Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, referred to as "Beijing Medical University" for short, is a national key university of Chinese medicine directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Wellness Commission, state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Beijing. It is the first batch of world-class discipline construction universities in China, the national "2 1 1 project".
