1. Pen selection
As the saying goes, "if a worker wants to do a good job, he must sharpen his tools first." To practice fine gold with a hard pen, we must first be clear: what kind of pen should we choose?
You know, Song Huizong Evonne can write such a unique font, which is inseparable from the pen he uses.
The pen used by Song Huizong is Gou Xianbi. The hardness of the pen tip is the key to fine and powerful fine gold strokes.
Therefore, when practicing with a hard pen, I personally suggest using a gel pen. The pen tip of gel pen is hard and elastic, and the strokes written are thin and lack of change, which is a big defect in practicing other books, but it is more conducive to the performance of "fine strength" when used to practice thin gold body.
2. Features of this book
First, let's look at the strokes. In terms of strokes, Shoujin style is different from other calligraphy styles, mainly reflected in the following two points:
First, thin gold strokes are thinner than other books, with less single stroke change and relatively faster stroke speed.
Second, in writing, fine gold is more obvious for turning and stopping.
Structurally, the thin gold body has the following three characteristics:
First, it is tight inside and loose outside. Compared with other calligraphy styles, Shoujin style is more obvious in "tightening the middle palace and loosening the horizontal and vertical". The internal structure is tight and the external strokes are stretched.
Second, tighten and relax. This is especially obvious in words with upper and lower structures.
Third, tight left and loose right. The looseness and tightness here refers not to the size of the radical, but to the structure.
Step 3: Mail
To learn thin gold, I recommend Song Huizong, Shu Zhen and Qian Wen Zi. The reason is that Qian Wen Zi is a regular script with few strokes in running script, which is very helpful to better grasp the character structure.
