Spring has arrived, and my rheumatism seems to be undercurrent again. I'm going to try yoga to treat rheumatism and improve my yoga skills.
I borrowed seven or eight yoga books from the library and unexpectedly found that Chinese medicine yoga is very good. I've always wanted to find a yoga book that combines traditional Chinese medicine. I read Shen's book a few days ago and remembered that he was also a news figure who practiced yoga at acupoints in traditional Chinese medicine many years ago. But after reading his book, I found that the introduction of acupoints is not systematic. On the contrary, it is not as systematic as he introduced in the news, so it is not included in the book.
Moreover, this book, starting from the study of meridians and five elements of traditional Chinese medicine, is concise and to the point, and it is easy for me as a layman to understand. Moreover, I feel the same way about his ideas and some experiences of yoga. The most important thing is that it is simple and not mysterious, and it is very useful.
The writer is a teacher of Wendao. In her early years, she was taught by Master Jueshun to study Buddhism, and then combined with the guidance of Huangdi Neijing and traditional Chinese medicine to form her own yoga guidance. She has been in business for more than ten years and has a deep theoretical and practical foundation.

I am very moved by teacher Wen Dao's views on yoga.
Teacher Wendao said that yoga should not pay attention to difficult movements, don't sweat, just sweat slightly. I was deeply impressed, because it was contrary to my original cognition.
The teacher emphasizes pranayama, relaxation, intentional defense, and letting qi act on the meridians and internal organs of the body. Through the conditioning of the internal organs, the body can be completely healthy, so she thinks that we should not pay too much attention to the extension of limbs, but should pay attention to the operation of internal qi.
My previous understanding is that direct lacing can directly act on muscles and bones, thus eliminating siltation.
From the teacher's point of view, if it is a disease in a certain part, the corresponding meridians can be conditioned by the internal qi of yoga, and the curative effect can be achieved by conditioning and dredging the whole meridians.
The teacher stressed not to stretch your muscles and break your legs, sweating profusely, because it often consumes internal force. She thinks that yoga regulates our internal organs more through pranayama and relaxation, so it should be relaxed and should not consume more internal energy.
She believes that most people who use yoga to regulate their bodies are often unhealthy, and unhealthy people are deficient in qi and blood. However, yoga conditioning is mainly to supplement internal force (vitality) rather than dissipation, so it is forbidden to stretch your muscles and break your legs and sweat.
I have always agreed that yoga must be relaxed, and I have always followed it, so I am very happy physically and mentally, and I feel uncomfortable if I don't do it for a day, so I have been practicing myself for more than ten years.
But so far, I still have many diseases that have not been completely eliminated. For example, my rheumatism (of course, it is unlikely to be cured), I am afraid of cold for a long time, and my joints are unfavorable. It is very uncomfortable to enter the air conditioner every spring and summer. I insist on practicing yoga because practicing yoga every day can greatly alleviate these problems. If I don't practice, it will be difficult for me to last a day in my normal work.
Because of these physical discomforts all the year round, when I was doing yoga, I "invented" a method of Ashi acupoint, which made me feel very effective and often solved many of my problems.
For example, if I go out to climb a mountain too much and my thigh hurts when I come back, then I will do a "hero kneeling position", which can obviously stretch my thigh and squeeze my calf. Generally, it is very effective to do it once, and basically I will recover after doing it twice. Before that, I usually need a week to recover from the thigh pain caused by mountain climbing.
Also, if I eat too much and my stomach is upset, then I will do "Japanese worship" (two or three hours after meals, of course), and soon, I will feel much more comfortable after half an hour. I use individual yoga moves, and I can directly stimulate where it hurts, thus solving some physical diseases.
In addition, I sometimes strengthen yoga movements. For example, scapulohumeral periarthritis and some lumps on my spine, I used squeezable movements, such as "plow" and "plow change" (pinching my toes and landing on my spine), and the lumps disappeared after holding back the pain for a few days.
Also, for the mass of the upper arm, the "limb support" and "handstand support" or "downward dog type" are intentionally strengthened. After a period of intensive stretching, the mass of the upper arm is also reduced. If there is a mass in the cervical vertebra, the neck can also be compressed by "neck turning manipulation" or "shoulder handstand" or "knee-ear plow".
The principle of "Ashi point" in traditional Chinese medicine means that any painful part should be massaged there, which does not need dialectical analysis and directly acts on the part to achieve the purpose of removing blood stasis and dredging collaterals.
In addition, "Ashi point" can also reflect visceral lesions. For example, pressing the pericardium meridian hurts, which may indicate that the heart is weak (for example, working hard recently or being under too much pressure). Pressing the pain directly will strengthen and strengthen the heart.
In this sense, it should be different from the teacher's method.
From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, the method of "Ashi point" and meridian treatment is different, so my method can be continued.
However, teacher Wen Dao's concern about internal forces has opened a new window for me and given me new hope.
I have always had an idea about yoga, that is, if you want to treat diseases through yoga, you have to spend more time and energy. For more than ten years, my moon disease has never been carved out of my roots. Of course, I never thought that I could completely eradicate it by yoga, because it is said that it is difficult to eradicate lunar disease. If you want to enhance the curative effect through yoga, you can only practice yoga asana more every day.
When we go to Chinese massage therapy, or the usual methods of moxibustion and foot bath, aren't we all emphasizing that if the condition is serious, we should increase the frequency? Therefore, I can't blame anyone for my illness, because I can't insist on long-term massage (for example, twice a week), self-moxibustion and foot bath care on time.
In my opinion, only by constantly investing time can I get some comfort from my body. In fact, more rest can achieve the same effect, but there is not so much time in real life. I spend 1 hours on yoga self-practice every day, which is already extravagant.
Teacher Wendao emphasizes the practice of yoga internal force (internal force), because the supplement of internal force can really achieve the effect of four or two kilograms.
This made me really combine yoga with qigong for the first time. Although Qigong and meditation were written on the cover of the classic yoga book of Huilan Yoga more than ten years ago, I never really thought about being together.
Of course, we have heard and seen a lot about Qigong. The soul of China Kung Fu is Qigong, but it can be soft and rigid. When I was a child, I watched Huo Yuanjia TV, and his contest with foreigners' tall and powerful boxers was the most classic contest between China Kung Fu and western boxing. It is the best proof of China's Qigong strength.
China Wushu described in Jin Yong's martial arts novels, there is no master in the world who is not proficient in Qigong to the point where he can decide the outcome with only one move. The legendary swordsman's sunflower book is to practice Qi, "Men practice Qi, women practice blood, and both qi and blood can get twice the result with half the effort". Although this novel is full of fictional elements, it is based on China's kung fu "full of internal qi", and he often practices Qigong in his daily life.
Yoga has the same roots as China's cultural thoughts, and the eastern cultural ideas are similar. It is completely compatible and coordinated to combine the thoughts of yoga with those of China Qigong.
If the internal force can be adjusted to restore health, the efficiency will be greatly improved. No need to increase time, regular massage, moxibustion, foot bath. Instead, we should pay attention to the adjustment of internal forces and use various methods flexibly.
Thank you, Mr. Wendao! Thanks for meeting yoga!
