The chemical structure of corn gluten is a compound preparation with ethephon as the main agent and a variety of plant growth nutrients as the supplement. Physical and chemical properties are colorless and transparent acidic liquid with pH < 1. Soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in dichloroethane and benzene. When it meets alkaline substances, it reacts chemically to produce phosphate, releasing ethylene and losing its efficacy. It is slightly corrosive.

Low toxicity. The acute oral LD50 of rats was 68 10 mg/kg. Physiological functions are easily absorbed by maize leaves into plants, which can promote root growth, increase fine roots, thicken leaves and deepen leaf color, increase photosynthetic rate and chlorophyll content, make plant types short and healthy, shorten internodes and prevent lodging. Promote stamen extraction and early flowering, and promote early maturity.

At the end of floret differentiation of female ear, corn gluten and 1 5 ~ 20kg water per mu/branch (30ml) were evenly sprayed on the upper leaves of the plant.

3. Preventive measures

(1) cannot be mixed with alkaline pesticides and fertilizers. Diluted liquid medicine should be used together.
