Although the war is over, the wounds left by the war cannot be easily healed, and the Vietnamese people have paid a huge price for the independence of the country and the nation. In the war between1September 2, 945 and1April 30, 975, 8 million civilians were killed. At the end of the war, Vietnam was left with a desolate land and 6,543,800 orphans, 2 million widows, 500,000 disabled people and 700,000 prostitutes. Of course, these are all normal sequelae of war. However, the experience of Vietnamese female soldiers who went to the front line after the war was extremely tragic. Vietnamese female soldiers responded to the call of the country to fight against Americans. According to statistics, in the Vietnam War, thousands of women, mostly single young women, took part in the battle with the enemy. However, when peace came, they found themselves abandoned by their own society. They voluntarily took up arms and joined the largest female soldier team in modern warfare. They fought in the Vietnam War for many years, with a traditional dream in their hearts: when peace comes, they will go home to find a good husband, raise a group of children and enjoy a peaceful life like other ordinary Vietnamese women. However, this is just an extravagant hope, and none of them even want to marry home. So what is the reason? The reasons should be as follows:
First, because female soldiers have lived a hard life in the tropical jungle for a long time, suffering from diseases and malnutrition, they have become prematurely senile and are not welcomed by men. Secondly, due to the poor sanitary conditions and lack of food and clothing during the war, some female soldiers suffered from health diseases, and the parents of the man naturally did not want his son to marry a woman who looked too weak to have children. Third, after the Vietnam War, there was a serious imbalance between men and women in Vietnam, and there were far more women than men, so men naturally had more choices and naturally chose those women who were good-looking and healthy. Fourth, due to the limited conditions during the war, female soldiers and male soldiers worked together, ate, and even slept in the same tent, which naturally made men reluctant to marry them.
This situation continued until the 1980s. In order to reduce the isolation of female soldiers, Vietnam has lifted the ban on unmarried children, and announced that single mothers and families with children born out of wedlock will also be regarded as family units and have the right to acquire land. And that thousands of Vietnamese female soldiers can only give birth to children in the form of * * * *, and shoulder the heavy responsibility of raising children alone, which is really sad!
