20 19 10 in mid-October, just after my 25th birthday, I embarked on my yoga journey. Start with the big class in the yoga studio and stick to it slowly, five times a week. After sitting in the office for a long time, I feel that my cervical spine is no longer painful and my hunchback is much better. A little change has strengthened my confidence to continue practicing.
June 5438 +2020 10, an epidemic trapped me at home. Unable to go to the offline venue to practice, I organized a few friends who like yoga to punch in every day.
After returning to work in April, I switched to a yoga-related Internet company and started my yoga industry. In this company, I have learned too much about the growth path of yogis in 10+ years. Any industry is the same, 20% people stand at the top of the pyramid, you need to be professional, have your own characteristics, know marketing, and don't be too Buddhist. I wonder, if it were me, what kind of yogi would I be? With more and more knowledge about yoga, I began to yearn for systematic study of yoga, and set a preliminary goal in September.
I didn't sign up right away. I know very well that I am a person with a three-minute fever. In order to avoid impulsive consumption, I will give myself a buffer period, make a small challenge and make a more important decision. If I achieve it, it will be true love and it is worth investing more time, energy and money. The goal I set for myself this time is: 100 days to learn my DIY online RYT course by myself, covering yoga philosophy, anatomy, teaching skills and so on. If I finish reading such boring content, then I am really interested in yoga.
I set a small goal and started my own yoga learning journey. Start with the philosophy of yoga and understand what yoga is. Patanjali said that we must be patient if we want to practice yoga successfully. In modern society, we can do anything quickly, but if we have no patience, it will become a problem. We want to hurry, but it takes time to practice yoga. When your joints are flexible enough and the muscles around them are strong enough, you can control your body to achieve any difficult movements. If your physical condition is not satisfied, you will only make yourself miserable. What can be more terrible than when the mind can't be its friend but its enemy?
In July 2020, I signed up for the RYT-200 recommended by my friends, and I came to study two months earlier than expected. I was very decisive when I signed up, because I knew I had tested myself, and I didn't need to struggle any more.
? ? From July 1 to July 28th, it took me nearly a month to complete the RYT-200 hours of Hata Stream.
Come to the college at nine o'clock every day and practice until 12:00. Morning is a practice asana, which is almost endless.
Training exercises are completely different from the daily exercises in the yoga studio! Every day's practice is to lay the foundation for the next advanced pose. In these 200 hours, we need to give full play to our physical fitness, endurance and physical potential, find our strengths and weaknesses, and practice as much as we can. Every day's practice is above our physical endurance, and everyone's daily practice depends on persistence and perseverance. Of course, there are also some students with good foundation who have adapted to the intensity of practice and can enjoy the process of practice.
Anyway, for a person with a weak foundation, the first thing to do is patience. Even if you can't do it, you should tell yourself, just hold on for a while and take a deep breath. Okay, okay, just hold on this time. Tell yourself this every time, gradually, you can persist for longer and longer, and your endurance has been honed. You know, it won't be so good to stick to that stage of collapse, but if you give up, you still haven't made progress in this sport today, so you spent more than 10000 yuan to sign up for a small class. I can't convince myself, I only have one thought: I have paid all the money, and I want to learn to be myself! I just want to see what I can become in 200 hours.
I remember a few days ago when I was practicing, I complained to my boyfriend before going out every day: I really don't want to train! ! ! Every day he laughs at me like a child who doesn't want to go to school, and then encourages me. But after a week or so, I gradually got used to high-intensity practice. I found that I made more and more progress in the process of practicing day by day, so I became more and more motivated.
But even if I get used to it, it's the hardest day in the middle of training. After the adaptation period, I enter the fatigue period, and my daily study feels very boring. I haven't rested for a long time, and I really want to indulge myself. During that time, I was also more indulgent, and my requirements for myself dropped, and I began to muddle along. But later, when it came to the primary and intermediate exams, it gradually began to pay attention to it.
Every day from 2 pm to 6 pm is the theoretical part of the study.
100 multi-pose elaboration, from entry mode to password, power point, efficacy, matters needing attention, variants of pose and so on. Besides asana, you should also learn other yoga knowledge, such as yoga cleaning, yoga breathing, ayurveda, yoga philosophy, yoga courses, yoga asana correction, Sanskrit chanting, physical assessment and so on. This set of explanations really opened the door to my understanding of yoga.
What will happen if we ignore the study of theory? Know why, don't know why, the origin of many gestures are not clear. Yoga philosophy and culture are not taken seriously, and the perspective of yoga will be very narrow.
I have shown off before. I have been practicing yoga for a year. Look at me! But now, if you ask me, how long have I been practicing yoga? I would say: more than a month. Because the practice before systematically learning yoga is very inefficient or even wrong, half a year's practice is not worth formal study 1 month. So what have I learned?
★ Please practice scientifically and correctly.
I didn't realize the importance of correct practice before. I thought as long as I practiced for ten or twenty minutes, no matter what genre or style, I would stick to it. I am also smart enough to think that I can practice online courses without the guidance of my teacher.
It was not until I studied RYT that I realized how ridiculous my previous ideas were. On the first day of college, the teacher found that I had scoliosis and my pelvis leaned forward. I've been out of position when I practiced the standing series, and my hips are not straight. Long-term practice like this will lead to more and more crooked pelvis, which I never realized before.
After discovering the misunderstanding of your own practice, you should pay more attention to the correct practice in each practice in training, instead of doing an action even if it is wrong, which will cause immeasurable harm to your body.
There is another small detail: I don't pay much attention to whether the mat is upright in daily practice. When I often make a pose, I pay great attention to the front and back, and I haven't noticed that my hind legs are out of the mat.
After a month of deliberate practice, my scoliosis has been greatly improved, and both soldiers have found the correct practice method. Correct practice brings them steady progress.
Please find a good teacher.
When I first learn yoga, I will be very happy if I find a professional teacher I like. You will take fewer detours, and you don't need to correct too many pose problems later. You can really become more and more beautiful, instead of becoming more and more useless and even causing strain.
I took a detour for half a year myself. When I first came into contact with yoga, I set up a membership card for a yoga studio and went to college regularly. Although the teacher in the big class teaches well, there are too many people, and the teacher can't take care of everyone. There will still be a lot of postures that are not done well. During the epidemic, I practiced online courses at home and even did whatever I wanted. I feel that I haven't made progress for three months, just keep exercising.
In fact, many asanas and body exercises are not difficult. What is difficult is the correct practice method. If the guidance is in place, you can practice effectively and a difficult pose can be broken in a short time. After hatha training, advanced poses will be assessed, and students with good physical conditions can reach more than a dozen advanced poses. I thought it would take ten years to reach such a great level, but I never thought I could do it in 30 days after correct practice! ! Originally, I put the advanced pose on the altar, and finally I realized that everyone's physical condition is different, but after targeted practice, I can really surprise myself.
In addition to the improvement in posture, the effect of finding a good teacher to practice effectively is also amazing. In just 30 days, every student's physical change can be called plastic surgery (I suggest you sign up for a training class if you buy a gym for private education, hahaha). Some girls have lost more than ten kilograms, while most people's hunchbacks and chests have improved, and their bodies are more compact and symmetrical.
How to find a good teacher? The answer is: try more. You can let acquaintances recommend better teachers, experience their courses more, and decide which teacher you like better according to the feedback from your body. If you feel tired but energetic after practice and like the teacher's teaching style, that's right. And if you spend a class impatiently, I don't suggest you continue to practice with this teacher.
★ Please try more.
Many friends who are new to yoga will have 100 thousand. Why do you have questions about yoga practice? I am a boy. Can I practice? Can I practice by myself? What yoga is better for me to learn? I heard that yoga is easy to get hurt, is that right? I heard that yoga can freeze the age? What courses should I sign up for?
It's normal to have so many doubts, and I had a lot of doubts at first. These doubts cannot be solved by asking the teacher. Some questions have clear answers, and Du Niang can tell you. And some questions need you to practice, and slowly find your own answers in the process of practice.
At the beginning, when I have no idea about yoga, I suggest going to Meituan to find a professional yoga studio with good evaluation nearby, and experience small classes with a little more expensive (large classes are not recommended). You can try different teacher courses, different genres of courses and different themes of yoga. Use your more and more attempts to accumulate your knowledge of yoga. In the process of exploration, the body will tell you what you like and what is suitable for you. Your path to yoga will also become clear from unclear to gradually clear.
If you have some prejudice and misunderstanding about yoga from the beginning and refuse to contact yoga, then you may have missed a very valuable wealth in your life! Green light thinking, try more, try more, and you will know!
★ Please be self-disciplined.
Even if you already know all the benefits of yoga and have formally studied yoga, without self-discipline and self-practice, everything is empty. Yoga is the benefit of practicing day after day. Whether as a way of daily exercise or self-cultivation, we need to persist.
? It is recommended to practice every day except the new moon and the full moon every month for more than 45 minutes each time, and 90 minutes is the best.
It is suggested to fix a practice time, such as getting up early or practicing at night.
If conditions permit, it is best to practice in the online yoga studio. If you are a mature practitioner, you can choose to practice by yourself or follow the online courses of famous teachers.
Everything you want to achieve through yoga can be learned naturally after day-to-day practice.
Yoga, don't worry, you should be prepared, this is a lifelong practice.
★ Please keep your heart.
After practicing for a long time, you may step into various misunderstandings and be unable to extricate yourself. For example, if you want to conquer a certain advanced pose, but you have been obsessed with a certain pose and neglected the practice of other parts, this is very unbalanced and paranoid. For another example, I feel that I have made a little progress in practice, and I begin to despise the new teachers, and my learning attitude can't be correct. For another example, I think it can be achieved through yoga, and I hope to achieve a relaxed and high-paying life through yoga.
The original intention of practicing yoga was slowly covered up. The longer you practice, the more you pay and the more you get. Slowly began to feel unhappy, I don't know why yoga should be a happy thing, but now, it has become a variety of obsession that can't be dispelled.
? ? At any time, please remember your initial intention of practicing yoga. Not all advanced postures look awesome; Not to become a famous yoga teacher, fame and fortune; I don't want to be a Buddhist. I have no passion every day. But in order to keep healthy, to make my figure more symmetrical, more confident and beautiful, to find my own pure land in a fast-paced life, to relieve the fatigue of a day's work, to take better care of myself and to love caring people better. Remember to meditate on your heart when you are confused ~ it will help you get calm.
? || Finally
Finally, RYT-200 is just the beginning of yoga. I need more study and practice to improve day by day. But this began to make me correct my attitude, more aware of my physical limitations, more aware of my favorite genre, more aware of my favorite teacher style, more aware of my teacher image, more aware of the significance of yoga to me, and more aware that everything has just begun. Please keep an open mind, be brave and diligent, and wish you better and better!
