Why do the troops have some special gymnastics exercises?
In some documentaries reflecting the training life of the army, we can often see some pilots of the Air Force doing various spinning exercises on a fixed wheel, and some of them hang back and forth on a high ladder with a shaft in the middle. Some navy soldiers do various exercises on swings and waves. What kind of exercise is this?

This is a special soldier exercising his balance function. Some of our comrades are carsick, seasick and airsick. Swing slightly on cars and boats; Exercise can cause facial changes, cold sweat, and even nausea and vomiting, which will not disappear for several days. This phenomenon is called "carsickness". The posture coordination and rest balance of human body are maintained by vestibular analyzer, visual analyzer, viscera, muscle joints and other receptors, mainly vestibular organs, which coordinate with each other to maintain the balance of the body.

Vestibular organ is a part of the inner ear, which consists of three semicircular canals, two vestibular sacs (oval sac and ball fissure) and vestibular nerve. Balloon and elliptic sac, each with its own praise points, are the terminal points of vestibular nerve endings, like handfuls of inverted brushes. On the heads of these brushes, there are movable ear surfaces. So these two sacs are also called otofacial organs. Whenever the human body or head makes various tilting and rotating movements, due to the action of gravity, the ear surface will produce various deviations and impulse those "brush heads", and the vestibular nerve will report these signals to the central nervous system.

Each of the three semicircular canals has an ampullary enlargement, called ampullary crest, which is also the terminal point of vestibular nerve endings. The three semicircular canals are the organs that feel angular acceleration, and the vestibular sac is the organ that feels linear acceleration and centripetal acceleration. Some people's vestibular organs are too sensitive and their body posture is slightly deviated. Vestibular organs will report these stimuli to the center, causing postural reflex and even a series of autonomic nervous reactions, such as complexion change, palpitation, cold sweat, blood pressure change, nausea and vomiting.

Ships cruise in the rippling sea, where there is no wind and the waves are three feet high; Pilots soar in the blue sky of the motherland and are often bumped by airflow; Tankers were also greatly shaken when crossing the ditch and crossing the ridge. If you work in such an environment, the vestibular organs are too sensitive and appear "carsick", you will not be able to complete the sacred task of defending the motherland.

Vestibular organs are too sensitive to change, and people who get seasick often take small boats; People who suffer from carsickness often take cars; People who get airsick can get used to it after flying a few more times. But this kind of exercise is not the most reliable way, and even has a bad psychological impact on these carsick people. The most effective method is gymnastics. In addition to all kinds of rotating special unarmed gymnastics, we should also do some special equipment gymnastics. Swing and wave wood practiced by naval soldiers; Air Force soldiers practice roller, spiral staircase, suspended swing (a swing that can rotate 360 degrees on horizontal and vertical axes) and so on. These are special gymnastics movements for training vestibular organ A officials. After systematic training, not only can it be immediate, but some people even uproot it. That's why those special forces often do some special equipment gymnastics exercises.

By the way, in the training of astronauts, the proportion of gymnastics training is also quite large, which is not only to exercise their vestibular function, tolerance to various linear and angular accelerations, but also to exercise their ability to coordinate and master their activities under weightlessness. Because people are often suspended in weightlessness, they can't change their physical state without external force. Without the usual coordinated training, they will be in a hurry and can't move at that time. Some astronauts have even reached the level of being able to flip short!
