It's in the upper part of the outside of our calf, near the knee.
Our legs are walking every day, even when we are sitting, our muscles are tense, and it is easy to strain and distort our muscles, leading to physical discomfort.
When acupuncturists treat leg muscles and muscle pain, they often use Yanglingquan to say the last sentence: tendons will Yangling.
Many popular health science will also mention Yangling Spring, so many people who care about TCM health have heard of it.
The specific location of Yanglingquan is on the outside of the calf, at the depression of the small head at the upper end of the fibula.
Pressing Yanglingquan can often feel a more obvious feeling of acid swelling.
The efficacy of Yanglingquan can be summarized as three.
One is soothing the liver, the other is promoting gallbladder, and the other is regulating tendons.
People's mood is closely related to the liver. Bad mood will affect the function of the liver, such as abnormal liver excretion and abnormal blood storage. Liver disease can also lead to emotional changes, such as impatience, irritability and fullness in the chest and hypochondrium.
Therefore, regulating emotions requires soothing the liver and regulating qi.
Liver and gallbladder together, liver meridian and gallbladder meridian are both exterior and interior. Theoretically, we can soothe the liver and regulate qi by stimulating the acupoints on the liver meridian and gallbladder meridian.
However, we don't usually use many acupoints, such as Taichong and Qimen, which are used more in the liver meridian. Yanglingquan and Zhangmen points are widely used in the gallbladder meridian.
Yanglingquan is often used to soothe the liver and regulate qi, especially its position is below the elbow and knee joint. Acupuncture, moxibustion, massage and other operations are simple at ordinary times, and it is not necessary to undress and expose private parts.
Yanglingquan is the acupoint on the gallbladder meridian of Foot Shaoyang and the lower acupoint of the gallbladder meridian.
There is a saying in Huangdi's Internal Classic: Invigorating the external meridians and combining the five internal organs.
In other words, the lines and Shu in the five Shu points are used to treat diseases of external meridians, that is, problems around musculoskeletal; Xiahe point treats the diseases of viscera in this meridian, that is, the diseases of viscera in this meridian.
Therefore, Yanglingquan is good at treating various diseases of gallbladder.
In ancient times, treating cholecystitis, biliary colic, gallstones, jaundice and other diseases, traditional Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture was often used to clear away heat and benefit gallbladder. Yanglingquan is the key point of acupoint selection.
It's just that modern medical technology has improved and treatment methods have become more abundant. There are other ways to get faster results, such as surgery and antibiotics. Acupuncture treatment is not the first choice.
In the meridian system of traditional Chinese medicine, there are eight categories of meridian qi collected by human body in meridians, namely, viscera, fu-organs, qi, blood, tendons, veins, bones and marrow, and each meridian qi gathers to form an acupoint, which is called the meeting.
In this way, eight acupoints were formed, namely Zhangmen of Zang Hui, Zhongwan of Fu Hui, Zhongzhong of Qi Hui, Shu Ge of Blood Hui, Yangling Spring of Muscle Hui, Taiyuan of Pulse Hui, the big bend of Bone Hui and the hanging bell of marrow Hui.
As can be seen from the above eight points, the tendons will make Yang Lingchun. In other words, it is the point where tendons and qi meet and can be used to treat various problems related to tendons and meridians.
In addition, it is located in the lower limbs, so it is most commonly used to treat muscle pain, sprain and lower limb cramps.
This is also the reason why many masseurs love Yangling Spring.
