Although Aladdin is a story from the Middle East, the characters in the story are not Arabs or Persians, but China. Based on the author's imagination, China in the story has a strong Islamic color. At that time, the Tang Dynasty was in its heyday, and its unprecedented territory made the Arab Empire think that the East, including today's Afghanistan, was within China's sphere of influence.
There was even a Jewish businessman who bought utensils from Aladdin (he also blackmailed Aladdin), but he didn't mention Buddhists or Confucianism. Everyone in this country has an Arabic name, and its ruler is more like a Persian king than an emperor of China.
