Adou said that a few years ago, when he was in Tokyo, he saw many Japanese people "fascinated" by Xiang Xiang: Xiang Xiang Ying Yuanhui, Xiang Xiang Comics, Xiang Xiang Pain Bag (referring to bags full of cartoon characters' badges or dolls). Adou said that he once had a Japanese teacher in his forties who went to see Xiangxiang every weekend. Xiangxiang is surrounded by pendants, lunch boxes and pencil boxes.
Panda Xiangxiang was born in Ueno Zoo on June 2, 20 17. Japanese media said, "Xiangxiang is the overlap of the Chinese character' Xiang' that expresses fragrance, and it is a lovely name with fragrance."
Since China Giant Panda moved into Ueno Zoo from 1972, Xiangxiang has been a panda cub in Ueno Zoo, and has grown up smoothly after 29 years.
