Xiao Yu, an engineer, was depressed for the first three months because of his heavy work pressure, and his feelings were not smooth. He doesn't want to go to work and is not interested in anything. He has insomnia and forgetfulness. He was on tenterhooks all day and went to the hospital for treatment. The doctor diagnosed moderate depression and mild anxiety, and came to consult.
@ Su Xin Life Design: Further than automatic thinking, it is to know your own intermediate beliefs, which include your own rules, attitudes and assumptions. Although it has no automatic thinking and is easy to correct, it is still more plastic than the core belief.
How to find the intermediate belief?
First of all, visitors may clearly express a belief as automatic thinking, especially when they are depressed.
For example, Xiao Yu said that I must do everything well and meet the expectations of others. This may be the middle belief.
Second, by providing the first two parts of the hypothesis, you may be able to make a complete hypothesis.
So we can continue to ask Xiaoyu: What will happen if you don't make every effort to meet the expectations of others?
Xiaoyu will say: then I failed.
Third, rules and attitudes can be identified by direct deduction.
For example, we can ask Xiaoyu: So what are your rules when you are at work?
Fourth, you can use the downward arrow.
We ask visitors: If your automatic thinking is true, what does it mean?
For example, we can ask Xiaoyu: What do you mean if you don't meet other people's expectations?
Fifth, look for the same theme in the automatic thinking of visitors across situations.
Many things about tourists can be used to help them identify a common theme.
For example, if Xiaoyu receives a complicated task, he will feel that he can't finish it; In dealing with others, I am always worried that others will think of me, and everyone seems to feel "incompetent" behind me.
Sixth, visitors can be asked to complete a belief questionnaire as a supplement to the above technology.
In short, we can help visitors identify intermediate beliefs through the above methods.
I hope today's psychological tips can help you.
