Studies have found that capsaicin in peppers can avoid excessive consumption, thus helping to control weight. Capsaicin helps to lose weight, is high in fat and easy to overeat.
According to the Daily Mail, a study conducted by the University of Adelaide, Australia, pointed out that capsaicin in peppers helps to lose weight, and a high-fat diet will affect the normal operation of gastric nerves, leading people to unconsciously eat too much food, which will lead to weight gain. This study has been published in PLOS No.1 magazine.
Studies have found that pepper can activate a receptor "TRPV 1 protein" in the stomach, make the stomach swell and release the information of satiety, so that people can find that they are full, thus reducing their food intake and helping to prevent weight gain. Without this receiver, our satiety will be delayed and we will eat more unconsciously.
In addition, this study also found that high-fat diet will interfere with the operation of "TRPV 1 protein", making it difficult for us to feel full and continue to eat, which may easily lead to obesity.
