Many stars have shared their concept of not eating in interviews, such as not eating after 5 o'clock or eating only eight hours a day. Some people may think that this is a biased dietary concept, but in fact, in foreign countries, many studies have found that eating in a limited time is really beneficial to human health.
In the book "The Science of Eating", the author Caster just turned 40 and went to hell because of chest pain. He therefore asked: Is junk food destroying health? What food will bring real health? He gave full play to the realistic spirit of science journalists and began to delve into the current dietary nutrition research, which lasted for several years. The new cognition completely changed his eating habits, and he was surprised to find that his previous understanding of healthy eating was completely inconsistent with the results of scientific research.
"The Science of Diet" mentioned in the chapter "The Best Eating Time and the Most Effective Fasting Method":
Two mice with the same genetic pedigree. Same size, same age. Now please note that these two mice have eaten the same thing all their lives. Not only the feed is the same, but also the quantity. Why is a fat mouse and a thin mouse?
Please imagine that these mice are people. We know nothing about them. We only saw a fat man and a thin man. What will automatically flash through your mind? The first suspicion may be that fat people eat more than thin people. Say it again: two mice eat the same feed and eat the same amount.
In addition, these mice are fattened with a mouse fast food. So it's not surprising that fat mice have fat, but thin mice need to be explained because of their remarkable figure. Why is it so thin? Besides fast food, do you get extra lactic acid bacteria or other magical substances to protect yourself from getting fat in a wonderful way? number
So there is basically only a traditional explanation: the thin mouse must have made a strict exercise plan, and the fat mouse has been lying on the sofa like a potato all his life, but this is not true.
The real answer is simple and surprising, and points out the effective strategy to fight overweight: fat mice can eat junk food for 24 hours, and thin mice can only eat feed at a limited time, that is, at night, when mice are naturally active. To be exact, thin mice can eat feed for eight hours all night, and they must fast for another sixteen hours.

Nowadays, mice are very clever. In this case, they learn quickly and fill their stomachs with feed in a "short" time. As a result, they end up eating as much as those mice that have always had feed, but they are still slim. Not only that, but also surprisingly healthy. Since they are not a model diet, the results deserve more attention. On the contrary, those mice who can steal food constantly not only become fat obviously, but also suffer from typical senile diseases in an overnourished world, such as hypertension, fatty liver, increased inflammatory index, insulin resistance and so on.
If something similar can be applied to us humans, please consider how much impact this research result may have. (Of course, people are sure of not just two mice, but countless mice. These experiments were conducted by researchers from Salk Institute of Biology in San Diego, California, and the results were published in high-level professional journals, such as Cell Metabolism. )
The author Caster found through personal experiments that:
Personally, I think the time from 8 am to 8 pm is very suitable. Although God knows I am not a master of discipline, I think it is not difficult to keep this time. So I mostly eat in this 12 hour range, and the rest are on an empty stomach 12 hour. If I am strict with myself and want to get rid of the accumulated fat, then I will shorten the time range to 9 am to 7 pm.

The mouse experiment can point out a rule of thumb to some extent: the shorter the time range, the more obvious the effect. Finally, the most important thing is to find the rhythm that suits your life and live well. The rhythm you found should not give up!
