Yoga comes from Indian Sanskrit yug or yui, which is a pronunciation, meaning "consistency", "combination" or "harmony". Yoga first appeared in ancient India 5000 years ago. At that time, in order to enter the highest state of mind and body, monks often lived in virgin forests and sat quietly and meditated. After a long period of simple life, monks learned a lot of natural laws from observing creatures, and then gradually perceived subtle changes in the body from the living laws of creatures to people. After thousands of years of research and induction, a fitness system has gradually evolved, which is yoga.
In the 2nd century AD, Patanali wrote the Yoga Sutra, which defined yoga as Ma Niya (pure conduct), asana (body posture), pranayama (breath control), Darana (concentration), Zen (meditation) and Samadhi (perfection), aiming at spreading yoga.
