Jumping pills, also known as "winning pills" or "flying pills", is a game in which acrobats skillfully throw and play with pill bells by hand. The performer quickly threw several marbles with both hands, one in his hand and several in the air. At that time, I was able to throw nine marbles. There are also those who throw swords, which are called "jumping swords". Those with high skills can throw seven swords. This kind of acrobatics has been passed down to this day and has become an integral part of hand skills.
Jumping pills became popular during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. According to the historical data "Shangshu", "All animals dance together." "Zhuangzi" said: "Making pills is appropriate, but two families are difficult." The former said that the stone was used as a flying device and both hands took turns throwing it. The air is full of flying stones, and animals dance with them. The latter means that there was a man named Yi Liao in the State of Chu, who cheated the incoming shells when the two armies confronted each other. Six were flying in the air, and one was fiddling with it in his hand, which made the soldiers of the two armies dazzled and stunned and reconciled as before, and played a magical effect of defeating the enemy without fighting.
In the Qin and Han Dynasties, jumping bowls became more popular. According to the existing archaeological data, bouncing pills in Han Dynasty can be divided into one-handed throwing and two-handed throwing, and the throwing methods can be divided into horizontal throwing and direct throwing. One-handed throwing, up to six, two-handed throwing is usually three to seven, up to nine. The more projectiles are thrown, the more difficult it is. It is said that it will take two or three years to add one when the number of five capsules is reached. With the popularity of "Jumping Pills" in the Han Dynasty, it was later developed that the projectiles were thrown with different sizes and weights, not only by hand, but also by arms, elbows and even swords. This acrobatic scene of "jumping pills" is mostly shown in Korean portraits.
