Dior menswear series was renamed Dior menswear on 200 1, designed by French designer hedi slimane.
Hedi slimane, who has never really taken any design courses, worked as a designer in Yves Saint Laurent for three years in his early years and rose up because of his avant-garde style. In July 2000, he became the creative director and designer of Dior Homme, which surprised everyone and attracted the attention of the whole fashion world. His favorite straight leg slim jeans are difficult for men who are not particularly thin.
The current designer of Dior menswear is Kris Van Assche.
Chris Van Aish was hedi slimane's deputy.
In 2007, Kris Van Assche replaced Hedi as the design director of Dior men's wear and accessories.
Born in Belgium, 1976, Kris Van Assche was recruited by Hedi as soon as he graduated from the Royal Antwerp Art Institute. He has been the first assistant of Hedi from YSL to Dior Homme.
Kris Van Assche has been in charge of Hadi since graduation, and he is still influenced by his predecessor. In the spring/summer release of Dior Men's Wear in 2008, we can see that Kris Van Assche still insists on Hedi's slim tailoring. The difference is that he added some delicate details to men's wear, such as some big pleats on shirts or trousers. However, this is only the beginning. The challenge Kris Van Assche will face in the future is not only how to keep Dior men's wear elegant, romantic and unique, but also how to make Dior men's wear belong to KVA. After all, no one wants to stick to the rules forever, and he himself said that he would do something different from the style of the river bottom.
