The handkerchiefs used in Northeast Yangko are called "two-person handkerchiefs", and some people call them "octagonal handkerchiefs" or "red handkerchiefs". This kind of handkerchief is usually made of silk or cotton cloth, which is light, soft and colorful.

When dancing yangko, the actors will show their skills and dancing skills by turning handkerchiefs quickly, and at the same time, they can add rich folk customs and local characteristics to the dance.
