Carl rogers (carl rogers)
A spokesman for the school of humanism.
This is an era when no one does not "Rogers"
Carl rogers (190265438+1October 8th-1February 4th, 987) is an American psychologist and one of the main representatives of humanistic psychology. He is engaged in the practice and research of psychological counseling and therapy, advocates the "client-centered" psychotherapy method, advocates unguided therapy (case-centered therapy), and emphasizes that people have the ability to self-adjust and restore mental health.
Rogers put forward "people-centered therapy" which represents the mainstream of humanistic psychotherapy. That is, if visitors are provided with the best psychological environment or atmosphere, they will try their best to know themselves to the greatest extent, change their views on themselves and others, produce self-guiding behavior, and finally reach the level of mental health.
Rogers regards his view of treatment as a philosophy of life, not "abnormal" treatment, so "people-oriented" treatment and consultation need a good doctor-patient relationship. He believes that the key to treatment is not technology, but the attitude of the therapist, as well as the creation of atmosphere and the establishment of therapeutic relationship. Therapists are not experts and know their own problems better than visitors. At the same time, he outlined the need for 12 steps in the treatment process, during which he emphasized the information and emotional exchange between the visitor and the therapist, both of which need to give full play to their subjective initiative in the treatment process.
Irvin Yalom's preface strongly recommended: "Anyone familiar with Rogers knows that his therapy is profound and flexible."

Salvador Minuchin (El Salvador).
The originator of structured family therapy
Salvador Minuchin, a Jew, was born in Argentina. He started as a pediatrician and became a child psychiatrist after being trained by Ackerman. 1952 Go to Israel to help children displaced in the Holocaust and Jews who immigrated from Arab countries. Two years later, Mi Niuqing returned to the United States to receive psychoanalytic training and worked as a psychological counselor in a juvenile delinquent school in the suburbs of new york. He found that most of these children came from fragmented poor families, so he and his colleagues began to try to develop a special set of theories and techniques to help these children. They found a treatment that changed the family background rather than aimed at the personal character or behavior problems of unhealthy teenagers, and achieved success.
Min Niuqing hopes to test his skills in more families at different levels, including working-class and middle-class families. So he joined the Philadelphia Children's Counseling Center 1965 as the director of the center. Under the bold and imaginative leadership of Minoching, this counseling center has developed to an unprecedented scale. In the book "Family and Family Therapy" published by 1974, Mi Niuqing elaborated his thoughts on structured family therapy summarized from a large number of practices and studies.
After that, Min Niuqing turned his attention to the role of family context in psychosomatic diseases (such as some diabetes, recurrent severe asthma and anorexia nervosa). In Mi Niuqing's view, the families of children with these diseases have their own family structure problems in maintaining the diseases. 1978, Mi Niuqing published a book on related topics, Psychosomatic Family. At present, structured family therapy is one of the most popular and effective methods to treat anorexia nervosa in western countries.
Family therapists Mi Niuqing and Wai-Yung Lee laid the foundation stone.

Aaron beck.
The founder of cognitive school
The theoretical basis of cognitive therapy is the cognitive theory of emotional disorder put forward by Allen Baker. He believes that psychological problems "are not necessarily caused by mysterious and irresistible forces. On the contrary, they may be caused by ordinary events, such as wrong learning, making wrong inferences based on one-sided or incorrect information, and being unable to correctly distinguish the difference between reality and ideal. " He pointed out that everyone's mood and behavior are largely determined by his own way of understanding and dealing with the world, that is, a person's thoughts determine his inner experience and reaction.
Cognitive therapy is a psychotherapy method that changes patients' bad cognition through cognitive and behavioral techniques according to the theoretical hypothesis that cognitive processes affect emotions and behaviors. The so-called cognition generally refers to cognitive activities or processes, including beliefs and belief systems, thinking and imagination. The cognitive process generally consists of three parts: (1) the process of receiving and evaluating information; (2) the process of generating methods to deal with and deal with problems; (3) the process of forecasting and estimating the results.

Because of his contribution in the field of clinical psychiatry, he won the Edward Stryker Award in 1974. 1979, he was awarded the academic research fund award by the American Psychiatric Association. Irvin Yalom's existentialist philosophy, Irvin Yalom, holds that people are free and responsible for their own choices and actions. Existentialism is a philosophical thought. In the course of treatment, the topics to be explored together with visitors include self-awareness ability, freedom and responsibility, the pursuit of self-identity and interpersonal relationship, the pursuit of meaning, anxiety as a state of being, and the understanding of death and nonexistence.
1980, Aaron published his most academic article "Existentialist Psychotherapy". In this article, he defined four ultimate problems of life, namely: inevitable death; I am deeply lonely; The freedom we need; One more thing, maybe life does not have an obvious meaning. He believes that all the pains in our lives are basically caused by these four aspects.
The notes of the psychotherapist who influenced Irvin Yalom can be compared with the psychoanalytic stories of mystery novels.

Albert ellis (albert ellis)
The founder of rational emotional therapy
Albert ellis (1965438+September 27, 2003–July 24, 2007) was an American clinical psychologist. He developed rational emotional behavior therapy in 1955 and was also the pioneer of 1960 American sexual liberation movement. Many people think that he is the originator of cognitive behavioral therapy.
Ellis believes in phenomenological philosophy, pragmatic philosophy and humanistic philosophy. He combined these philosophical views with behaviorism and put forward the basis of rational behavioral therapy. Accordingly, people's psychological barriers are caused by unreasonable ideas. Therefore, if patients are made to realize these unreasonable ideas and turn them into reasonable ones, effective treatment results can be achieved.
Emotional behavior therapy is developed from rational therapy founded by Alice in 1955. At first, his name was Rational Therapy (RT), and 196 1 year was changed to Rational Emotional Therapy (RET). It was not until 1993 that Alice changed rational emotional therapy to rational emotional behavior therapy. Because he thinks that rational emotional therapy will mislead people to ignore the concept of behavior, in fact, Alice emphasized the correlation between cognition, behavior and emotion at the beginning of this therapy, and the treatment process and techniques used include cognition, behavior and emotion. He published many creative and popular works, especially in the 1960s. Several of his works (such as "Sexual Innocence") sold millions of copies, thus popularizing his rational emotional therapy. Ellis is an energetic and prolific person and one of the most prolific authors in the field of psychological counseling and therapy. During his busy career, he met with 80 individual therapy patients every week, guided five therapy groups, and gave 200 speeches and lectures to professionals and the public every year. He has published more than 50 books and 700 articles, most of which focus on the theory and application of emotional behavior therapy.
