People's livelihood is the foundation of building a harmonious society. In recent years, our party and government have done a lot of work and made great achievements in safeguarding and improving people's livelihood. But there are still many problems to be solved. There are many countermeasures to solve the problem. The following are six suggestions: suggestion 1: The government should further transform into a "people's livelihood government". The government should manage the economy, but it can only manage it with principles and policies from a macro perspective, rather than directly intervening in enterprises, let alone becoming the main body of enterprises. For the economy, the government can only be an indirect government, not a direct government. The direct function of the government should be to manage the society. Market economy is a competitive economy, and the survival of the fittest will undoubtedly make the rich richer. In recent years, the "New Public Management Movement", which aims at "slimming government" and "reshaping government" in more than 40 countries, has loudly proposed that the government is for the disadvantaged groups. Since the reform and opening up, while promoting economic development, our party and government have constantly established and improved social policies to protect the interests of the broad masses of the people, especially in protecting the interests of the disadvantaged groups, and have issued many relevant social policies, which have provided effective institutional support for the disadvantaged groups. However, it is still necessary to accelerate, strengthen and implement institutionalized support for vulnerable groups. We must adhere to the principle that development is for the people, development depends on the people, and the fruits of development are shared by the people, and effectively solve the most concerned, direct and realistic interests of the people.
