Help: How to use the crucible of chemical instrument?
A severe test

Use:

A heat-resistant ceramic container for holding solids.

How to use:

Crucible is a bowl-shaped container with a deep ceramic bottom. When there is a solid to be heated by a big fire, a crucible must be used. Because it is more resistant to high temperature than glassware. When using a crucible, the crucible cover is usually placed obliquely on the crucible to prevent the heated object from jumping out and allow air to freely enter and exit for possible oxidation reaction. Because the bottom of the crucible is very small, it usually needs to be placed on the mud triangle and directly heated by fire. The crucible can be placed vertically or obliquely on the mud triangle, or it can be placed by itself according to the needs of the experiment. Don't put the crucible on the cold metal table immediately after intense heating, so as to avoid cracking due to sudden cooling. Do not put it on the wooden desktop immediately, so as not to burn the desktop or cause fire. The correct way is to put it on a clay pot to cool naturally, or put it on an asbestos core net to cool slowly. Please use crucible pliers when taking the crucible.

Main uses:

Evaporation, concentration or crystallization of (1) solution

(2) Burning solid matter

Precautions for use:

(1) Both instruments can be directly heated, but they cannot be quenched after heating. Take them off with a crucible clamp.

(2) After the crucible is heated, put it on a mud tripod.

(3) Stir during evaporation, and evaporate with waste heat when it is nearly dry.
