Recommendation: Download the official version of windows 10.
▲ Caption: Test the Windows7 system hibernation file slimming command in the virtual machine (4GBx80%)
The following is how to use this command (taking Windows 10 as an example):
1. Run the command prompt as an administrator.
2. Execute the following command (as shown below):
powercfghibernatesizeXX
Note: The above "XX" represents the percentage value, and the range is an integer of 40- 100. Entering a value below 40 will keep the hibernation file size at 40% of the system memory size.
▲ Caption: The memory size of the tester is 16GB, and the hibernation file becomes 6.39GB( 16x40%) after the maximum slimming.
▲ Caption: hiberfil.sys file size change (hiberfil. The sys file needs to be hidden from the system file in the folder options before it can appear).
If your hard disk is large enough, you can enter 100 directly after the command, keeping the amount equivalent to the memory size, and the performance is the best. If your hard disk space is limited and you don't want to use the hibernation function, you can also use the Setup Master of the Soft Media Rubik's Cube (click Download) to close it with one button, as shown below:
