Needle-piercing translation
Needle translation is a working principle of gun firing.

The principle of bullet firing is as follows: after the firing pin fires the primer, the propellant is ignited, the powder starts to burn, the internal pressure of the shell increases, and the bullet leaves the shell, squeezes into the line chamber and starts to start. The warhead moves forward rapidly under the action of high temperature and high pressure gas.

The firing pin is the part of the firearm that fires the primer. Its function is to play the primer of the bullet. Its working process has two basic forms:

One is to strike one end of the striking pin with a rotary hammer (the part with rotary motion in the upper right part of the figure below) to make the other end hit the primer, or to mount the striking pin on the hammer and hit the primer with the hammer motion;

The other is to knock one end of the pin with a hammer moving in translation to make the other end hit the primer, or directly push the pin to hit the primer with spring pressure.

Compared with the hammer rotary pin translation structure, it is simpler, lighter and more concealed, reducing the hook caused by external parts, and is suitable for plainclothes special task personnel. More importantly, the handle increases the comfort, and at the same time, it can suppress the muzzle jump caused by recoil, and the bottom handle is slimmer because there is no hammer spring. The disadvantage is that the hammer has yield nodes, so it requires higher materials and technology. The power spring is always in a stressed state after loading, which is easy to fatigue and aging, and needs to be replaced regularly, so it is not as stable as rotary.
