Xixi's personal experience
After settling in Hong Kong, my father worked as an inspector for the Kowloon Bus Company. In addition, from Shanghai to Hong Kong, he has been the coach and referee of the first football team. Xixi played football with her father since childhood. She has a brother, two sisters and a younger brother. I didn't study much in heep yunn school. I studied Chinese in junior high school and transferred to English after Secondary Four. Graduated from Grantham Teachers College. In Hong Kong, her early life was quite hard, and she often worried about books, school uniforms, housekeeping and other expenses. Junior high school began to contribute to newspapers and magazines in Hong Kong. The earliest work was published in The Literature of Everyone in the 1950s, and it was a sonnet. Junior high school participated in the essay contest of Xueyou edited by Yun Bilin and won the first prize in the senior group. He entered grantham college of education in 1957 and taught in a government primary school after graduation. As a government teacher, Xixi actively participated in the fight for teachers' rights and interests in the 1970s. As for his interest in writing, poetry, novels, essays, fairy tales and translation, in the 1960s, he also wrote screenplays, such as Luxury Days (directed by Jian Qin) and The Window (directed by Kong Lung). And write a film review in a fresh and vivid style. She is one of the veterans of making experimental films in Hong Kong. After that, he specialized in writing. He also served as the editor-in-chief of China Student Weekly and Thumb. Editor-in-Chief of Suye Literature Magazine. She has long been engaged in the creation of serious literature. She is both a poet and a novelist, but she is famous for her novels. Her novels are interwoven with tradition and modernity, and the essence of European, American and Latin American literature is integrated into the style of China language, with modern consciousness and mixed feelings of sadness and joy. She has been writing columns in various newspapers and magazines for a long time: from the fairy tale column in the 1960s (Daily Daily), movies and me (China Student Weekly), Bull's Eye and me (Express); My trial writing room (scrapbook) (express delivery) was in the early 1970s. Reading Notes in the Early 1980s (Express). Mulan (Sing Tao Daily) and Four Jade Pieces (Taiwan Province United Daily News) in the late 1980s. It also includes Ming Pao Weekly: Xiaoming Zhou, talking about painting with children, Sing Tao Daily: thinking with ears, talking about music, and even Ming Pao: Xixi watches the ball and specializes in watching the World Cup. In addition, she has served as the page editor of China Student Weekly, Thumb Weekly (1975 to 1977) and Su Ye Literature (198 1 to 1984). The latter two were founded by her and her friends. Su Ye is a non-profit Fan Publishing House, founded in 1978, which publishes works by serious, same level and lacking commercial elements. Such publishing houses are rare in Hong Kong. By 1984, * * * has published 22 books, including Ma Lang's collection of poems "The Prodigal Son Burning the Piano", Lin Niantong's China film collection "Wandering in the Mirror", Betty Chung's collection of poems and essays "My Glory" and so on. In addition to this series, Su Ye Literature, a total of 25 issues, was later published. In the end, because the loss was too large, I had to stop. Recently, Suye Publishing House was reprinted in the early 1990s, and it is still being published. 1979, because there are too many teachers in Hong Kong, the education department allows teachers to retire early. Xixi applied for permission. From then on, concentrate on reading and writing. For more than ten years, I have been receiving a meager pension of more than one thousand Hong Kong dollars per month. However, throughout the 1980s, Hong Kong society was constantly changing and there was a shortage of teachers. She was invited by her old colleagues to re-enter the teaching circle. Signing a one-year short-term contract or substituting for a class is not completely divorced from the teaching profession. In the past twenty years, she has been to many places, including Europe, Turkish, Egyptian and Greek, and Chinese mainland is still the place she has visited the most. These have become the nourishment of her artistic life. 1983, the supplement of Taiwan Province United Daily News reprinted "A Woman Like Me" published in Su Ye Literature, which officially started her literary karma with Taiwan Province Province. A Woman Like Me won the Eighth Novel Award of the United Daily News and the Joint Short Story Recommendation Award (Press: this award was awarded to the best short story published in the newspaper supplement of that year). 1988 "To Sisyphus" won the short story recommendation award of the 10th United Daily News Novel Award. The novel collection "Handroll" won the novel recommendation award of the 11th Taiwan Province China Times Literature Award with 1988 (this award was awarded to the best novel collection published in Taiwan Province Province that year). Prior to this, as early as 1965, she won the first prize of the 14th essay writing northern competition novel group of China Student Weekly, and her work was Maria. 1990 won the "Eight-Party Literary Creation Award" in the "Eight-Party" literary series. Xixi was invited by the University of Iowa in the United States to participate in the "International Writing Project" as a writer, but she declined, on the grounds that this kind of exchange is more beneficial to young writers in Hong Kong. Since 1980s, cross-strait exchanges have become increasingly frequent. During this period, Xixi introduced Chinese mainland's writers and works in the new period to readers in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and edited four books, Selected Novels of Chinese mainland in 1980s, Red Sorghum, Attic, Explosion and Section VI, for Hongfan Bookstore in Taiwan Province Province. A number of Xixi albums have been published in Hongkong, Taiwan Province and overseas newspapers, including comments, interviews or Xixi's creations, including: New Evening News Local Writers Series 3 (198101013); Journal of Malaysia,No. 1049 (1 983 June 16), Volume II,No.1(1985 June1); Wen Xue ninth series (1February 985); Literature and Art magazineNo. 16 (198565438+February); The third volume of joint literature consists of 35 issues (1September 1987), and the literature series in eight directions consists of 12 issues (1June 1990+65438+1October). Among them, the series Friends of Readers includes the Catalogue of Xixi Works edited by Chen Jinquan; As for the Eight Directions series, Guan Xiuqiong and Gan have all been updated accordingly, and the cataloging and comments of Xixi's works are particularly precious.
