Penglai Shahekou Airport is located in Penglai City, Shandong Province, 5 kilometers away from the city center. The airport was jointly built by Penglai Municipal Government and Shandong Airlines with an investment of more than 9 million yuan, and was officially opened to traffic in 2002. This airport is 800 meters long and 23 meters wide. The airport is mainly used for flight test, training and tourism.

On the morning of June 8, 2002, in the eastern suburb of Penglai, the first county-level airport in China, Penglai Shahekou Airport, was built and set sail, and the air travel line from Penglai to Dalian was opened.

Shandong Airlines Rainbow Business Jet Company has been cooperating with Penglai City to provide Cessna amphibious aircraft purchased from the United States for the airport to sail. Aircraft is a safe and economical model with complete navigation facilities, high safety performance and good maneuverability. The speed is 250 kilometers per hour and the flying altitude is 3000 meters. It can carry 8 tourists at a time and is known as the "air taxi". It only takes 30 minutes to fly from Penglai to Dalian.
