Wendeng has a long history and rich culture, which is the area where early human beings entered the civilized era in the eastern part of Jiaodong Peninsula. More than 30 ancient sites, such as Ruogu, Shiyang and Qin Quan, have been discovered in the city, and a large number of cultural relics in different historical periods, such as Neolithic Age, Dawenkou culture and Longshan culture, have been unearthed, which proves that Wendeng ancestors flourished here more than 5,000 years ago and created a splendid ancient civilization.
The beauty of literature lies in the combination of nature and humanity. To the west is Kunyu Mountain, the crown of Jiaodong Peninsula and the "ancestor of sea fairy mountain". The majestic Kunyu Mountain overlooks Jiaodong and the Yellow Sea, and the rest of the holy mountains are provincial-level scenic spots. The lifelike natural giant stone statue of Laozi here, matched with the 5,000-word moon bud stone carving by Taiwanese businessman Laozi Daodejing, is unparalleled in the world. Tianfu Mountain, at the eastern end opposite Kunyu Mountain, is the seat of China's famous "Tianfu Mountain Uprising".
Wenshan is between Kunyu Mountain and Tianfu Mountain. This mountain is not high, but it is the place where Qin Shihuang boarded and stayed. The majestic Zhaowentai on the mountain has become a landmark building in Wendeng City.
Wendeng has a coastal area in the south and a sand-fixing pine forest belt in the north, which is lush and lush, just like the Great Wall.
