A computer with too much garbage will slow down, just like a person carrying too heavy things can't walk fast, so we need to slim down the computer and clean up all useless garbage in the system.
Method 2: Don't put things on drive C or on the desktop.
Drive C is our system drive. There are too many things on disk C, and the system will run slowly. The desktop belongs to the system disk. Many people like to put things on the desktop for convenience, which will reduce the space of our system disk and is not conducive to system operation. Remember to clean up the garbage in the recycle bin in time.
Method 3: Don't install the installation software on drive C, and don't install unnecessary bundled software.
When we install software quickly, the default is usually disk C, so we must choose custom installation, click browse, and choose disk D or disk E. Many other softwares will be bundled with other softwares. You only need to install one software, but you may end up installing two or three, so be careful when installing. If you see other software, be sure to remove the checkmark in front of other software.
Method 4: Disk cleaning
We generally don't use system cleaning software to thoroughly clean up the garbage. We found drive C, right-click Properties-Disk Cleanup, pay attention to check the files to be deleted, and click OK. Do this one by one.
Method 5: Disk Defragmentation
Disk defragmentation is like cleaning a house. When our house is too messy, the space will be very small. When we classify everything, the space will be much larger after classification. For example: win 10 system, open any disk, find management-optimization, analyze each disk after opening, and optimize if the system suggests optimization (note: optimization takes a long time).
Method 6: Replace or add memory chips.
We can check our computer and see how many memory chips it has. If there is only one and the other memory slot is empty, we can add one. Or our memory is too small, we can consider changing it to a bigger one.
Method 7: Avoid system update.
The new system generally takes up more space than the old system, and the new system may not be suitable for our old computer, so don't update the system frequently. If your computer has an automatic update system, you must change the settings.
