Improve computer speed
There are the following points:

Solutions to excessive garbage in the system:

1, do not install the software. There are all kinds of software on the Internet, but not much is really needed, which not only takes up your hard disk space, but also some software is often the main source of viruses. When surfing the Internet, some security warning windows will often pop up, prompting you to install some software (such as network real name, universal URL, etc.) soon. Be careful not to collect it, or there will be more and more garbage on your hard disk, which will be difficult to clean up. (Figure 1)

2. Fragment arrangement. After the system has been installed for a period of time, there is no need to install new software or make major adjustments to the system before defragmentation for the first time. After that, the average household computer can do defragmentation once every month or two (to start defragmentation: right-click the hard disk to defragment-> Select Properties-> Select Tools-> Click Start Defragmentation). (Figure 2)

3. Clean up the garbage. Often surfing the Internet will inevitably leave all kinds of rubbish, and different windows will leave rubbish in different places. The most efficient and practical method is to use the system's "Disk Cleanup" tool to clean the disk (to start the disk cleanup operation: right-click the hard disk to be cleaned-> select Properties-> Disk Cleanup). (Figure 3)

4. Optimize the registry in time. One of the characteristics of Windows registry is its continuous expansion, which will inevitably slow down the system. It can be deleted by software such as Clean Sweep and Worry Master, or it can be deleted manually. First, press "Start" to open the "Run" item and enter the regedit to edit the registry. Their locations are generally in "HKEY _ Local _ Machine \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ curtversion \ Run" under the sub-item of Run or Runservies, but when deleting, you must be careful and make a backup in time to avoid deleting some useful programs, and it is too late to cry again. Furthermore, use optimization software such as "Worry-Free Master" to clean up the registry, select registration information cleaning in the system maintenance cleaning option, and start scanning registration information, as shown in Figure 4. After the registry is backed up, delete all unavailable registry information and restart it.

Different operating systems have different ways of worrying. Take Windows XP as an example. Every time you start Windows XP, the blue scroll bar has to go many times. In fact, we can also reduce its scrolling time here to speed up the startup. Open the Registry Editor and find HKEY _ Local _ Machine \ System \ Current Control Set \ Control \

Sessionmanager \ memory management \ prefetch parameters, find the EnablePrefetcher primary key on the right, and change its default value of 3 to 1, so that the scrolling time of the scroll bar will be reduced.

When shutting down in XP, the system will send a message to the running programs and remote servers, telling them that they should shut down the system and wait for the response before the system starts to shut down. To speed up the startup, you can set the task to end automatically first. First, find HKEY _ Current _ User \ Control Panel \ Desktop, and set the key value of AutoEndTasks to 1. Then there is a "HungAppTimeout" under this branch, and its value is changed to "4000 (or below), and the default is 50000; Finally, find HKEY _ local _ machine \ system \ current control set \ control \, and also set WaitToKillServiceTimeout to "4000"; Setting the shutdown speed in this way is obviously much faster.

In order to achieve visual realism, the menu in Windows XP will slide out when it is opened, but it will also slow down the opening speed. We can find the "MenuShowDelay" primary key under HKEY _ Current _ User \ Control Panel \ Desktop and change its value to "0" to remove the menu delay effect.

5. Optimize the memory settings. Memory is one of the important factors that determine the running speed of the system. How to reduce the unnecessary occupancy of memory? There are many ways to do this. Right-click My Computer, open Properties → Performance → File System → CD, drag the cursor of Additional Cache Size to Small, and set the Best Access Mode to Double Speed. This setting has little effect on high-speed optical drives that now contain cache, and it is not necessary for optical drives. There are also fewer virtual disks. By modifying the [vcache] section in the System.ini file, you can set the value after "MaxFileCache=" to an appropriate number (in KB). There is also a software called MagnaRAM97, which can compress the data in memory, which means that your memory will be able to handle more things at the same time, much faster than virtual memory. We can also use the "trouble master" mentioned above. Of course, now that memory is cheap, adding a little more can solve the problem. (Figure 5)

6. Delete the DOS system configuration file. Autoexec.bat and config.sys are two system configuration files in the DOS era, which are dispensable in Windows. However, if necessary work is not needed in pure DOS, these two files can be omitted, which can speed up system startup and reduce resource occupation.

7. Delete unnecessary fonts. Don't underestimate the font file. In Windows, font files alone account for more than one hundred megabytes! So how do you delete unnecessary font files? There is a Fonts folder under the Window directory of drive C, and generally all font files are here. We can selectively delete unused fonts to reduce the space occupied by the hard disk.

Problems and solutions in software installation;

1. Use the simplest typical installation method;

The slowness of the system is also closely related to the installation of some software, just as many useless items were added to the shipbuilding materials at the beginning. Causing the ship to get heavier and slower. Take Wps for example, we can choose typical installation when installing, so the installed software is a more suitable method with fewer components. (Figure 6)

2. Choose your commonly used components and add fewer plug-ins; (Figure 7)

As shown in the above figure, under normal circumstances, if you don't use the component programs such as "Jinshan Metamaterials Library", you can click on the component and select "This function is unavailable", so that the service component will not be installed in the computer when it is installed. Like software such as Office, there is usually an option to customize the installation of components, so choose the functions you want to install. Now we can choose the installation path of the software. If you install too much software, you might as well install all kinds of software on other disks, which can reduce the burden of C disk when the system starts.

3. Change the default settings. Indeed, you can install the windows in about an hour and paint your car in 60 minutes. But are you really satisfied with these two results? . If you are just starting to use Windows 98, take a quick look at the installation elements and customization options, and let us find and fix all the default settings of system slowdown that you don't need at all! Ordinary users can right-click the taskbar and select "Properties" to see the property boxes of the taskbar and the start menu. Here, we can delete options such as "show personalized menu" to improve the running speed of the machine. Take the software "Worry Master", which is commonly used in worry-free system, as an example. In the desktop menu configuration item, we can change the default settings of Windows system, such as turning off the menu animation effect; Turn off the smooth scrolling effect; Speed up the refresh rate of Windows; Turn off some visual animation effects. The default system of software, such as Madia Player, is very powerful, but the most troublesome thing is that every time it is started, the system defaults to network connection, so it has been trying to connect to a Microsoft website. If you don't dial, the system will be unresponsive for a long time, so if you don't want to connect to play online and just play local multimedia files, you should choose "Work Offline" in the file menu. (Figure 8)

4. Don't load too many startup items. Don't load too many programs when the system starts. You can delete them through "Load=" and "Run=" in the [Windows] section of the Win.ini file, and some drivers will be loaded into the [386Emh] section of the System.ini, so it doesn't matter to delete them. However, this method is too difficult for beginners, so I recommend you to use some software such as "Windows Worry-Free Master" or "Super Rabbit". In the startup speed optimization option, you can choose the retention time of window startup information, or delete the startup program to speed up the system startup. (Figure 9)

4. Uninstall useless programs. People who often surf the Internet or use computers will install a lot of software in their computers. Sometimes, they try some of the latest software and forget to uninstall it after installation, resulting in the system being too slow for a long time. To uninstall the software, click Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Add/Remove Programs, select the program to uninstall in the panel that appears, and then click Change/Remove.

Trojan horses, viruses, bombs and their solutions;

Two days ago, someone sent a Flash animation to this hardcover ship. Open this Flash animation, and after two days, the hull began to slow down. The captain suspected that he had been hit by a Trojan horse. What is a Trojan horse? Is Troy a virus? In fact, whether it is a Trojan horse, a virus or a bomb, it is a program and executable code. Some trojans will be remotely controlled by others after being hit. Imagine it's like two people using a machine at the same time. Can the machine be slow? As for viruses, computer viruses have unique replication capabilities. When they are running, they will multiply in computers, spread rapidly and are often difficult to eradicate. They can attach themselves to various types of files. When files are copied or transmitted from one user to another, they will spread along with the files, resulting in system slowness and network congestion. If the virus is not parasitic on the infected program, it will still bring you trouble by occupying storage space and reducing the overall performance of the computer. After poisoning, the speed of the microcomputer will decrease.

The ship was attacked by a Trojan horse or virus. What should I do? Don't be afraid, the best way is to use "Trojan buster" first (figure 1 1).

Haha, Trojan horses have nowhere to hide. After pressing "OK", Trojan horse finally cleared the customs. The next step is to check for viruses. There are many anti-virus software now, such as Rising, Kingsoft Internet Security and Nuodun. However, there are many kinds of viruses, and your antivirus software may not find this virus at all. In order to confirm whether your machine is infected, you can use the following methods to check: start with a clean and nontoxic floppy disk, list the floppy disk directory, run the floppy disk program, and see if the display speed and program running speed are improved. If the speed increases, it may be related to virus activity in the hard disk. Try to use a higher version of antivirus software, and repartition or formatting the hard disk if necessary.

Too many operating systems, improper CMOS settings and hardware problems;

Many CMOS parameters will affect the working speed of microcomputer, among which the most influential ones are:

1. Shadow RAM is not set. Generally, the microcomputer is required to set at least the shadow ram of the system BIOS and video BIOS, otherwise it will greatly affect the display speed and working speed of the system.

2. The internal cache and external cache are not open, which makes the microcomputer work in a state without cache, and the working speed of the system will be obviously reduced;

3. Improper setting of hard disk parameters, especially the PIO parameters of hard disk, will affect the reading and writing speed of hard disk;

There are still some parameters that will affect the speed of the microcomputer, but the above parameters are the most important.

If the CMOS settings are correct, then the problem may be in the hardware, and poor contact often affects the speed. Please carefully check the plug-ins such as graphics card, hard disk and memory stick to ensure reliable contact. Of course, software defects may also affect the speed.
