What is pathogenic dampness? Where did the body get wet?
Chinese medicine believes that dampness is one of the six evils in nature (wind, cold, heat, dampness, dryness and fire).
There are two main types of human body: external dampness (moisture enters through the nose and mouth through breathing, or permeates through the skin) and internal dampness (dysfunction of the spleen and stomach). Damp pathogen also has the characteristics of being sticky, heavy, turbid and downward (towards the lower part of the human body).
External dampness invades the human body, and it is more likely to cause external dampness when internal water stops gathering.
Once the body is wet, it must be discharged in time to avoid a vicious circle and aggravate the harm to the human body.
Nine symptoms of moisture in the body
1. Obesity, edema and bags under the eyes: Most people with water in their bodies are plump or obese. People who usually don't eat much, but have big stomachs and soft stomachs, may be puffiness caused by abnormal water metabolism in the body. If you get up in the morning, your eyelids are swollen or your bags under your eyes are obvious, which means that your body is wet. As long as the moisture is removed, people will naturally lose weight.
2. The whole body is tired and weak, and the spirit is poor: if you are often inactive, you will feel sleepy and weak, and even don't want to talk, especially after meals. I'm too lazy to stand up on the sofa. But after proper exercise, fatigue is reduced or disappeared. After waking up, such people will still feel very tired, in poor mental state, depressed and depressed, but as long as they exercise, the fatigue will disappear and people will become more energetic. 3. Top-heavy, heavy limbs: the mind is dizzy like a heavy cloth, the body and limbs are extremely lazy or not refreshed, the calves are weak and heavy, and the steps are heavy; If the dampness stagnates in the meridians and then flows to the joints, the joints will be sore and heavy, and the flexion and extension will be unfavorable. These symptoms are all manifestations of "dampness and turbidity".
4. Hair is easy to get oily and the face is shiny: hair and face (especially forehead) are particularly easy to get oily and have large pores. If you are prone to acne and boils, you can smell the smell with one mouth, indicating that there is not only dampness but also heat in your body, so you need to clear away the damp heat.
5. The tongue is fat, and the tongue coating is white and greasy with teeth marks: normal people's tongue is reddish and moist, and the tongue coating is thin and white, with moderate wet and dry, not slippery or dry. People who are wet in the body will have a white and thick tongue coating, a fat tongue and obvious creased teeth marks on the edge. If the tongue coating turns yellow and greasy, it means that it has been wet for a long time.
6. The stool is shapeless and cannot be wiped clean: it is shapeless and sticky, and there is always a feeling of endless discharge. Repeated wiping with toilet paper is not easy to clean, and it is also difficult to wash off after sticking to the toilet, indicating that there is moisture in the body.
7. Chest tightness, bloating and poor appetite: I feel chest tightness and want to take a long breath to be comfortable; If you have no appetite, you will swell up after eating something, and you will feel sick faintly; Often thirsty, but don't want to drink water, etc. These symptoms are more likely to appear in summer, all because moisture affects the transport and transformation function of the spleen and stomach. 8. Too much phlegm, drooling when sleeping: Some elderly people have been diagnosed as chronic bronchitis by western medicine for a long time. In fact, these patients are sometimes not caused by inflammation, but by spleen deficiency and phlegm-dampness. Some people will drool and have bad breath when they sleep, which is also a disorder of the spleen and stomach, which will not hydrate, and the upper part will reach the mouth. These problems can only be fundamentally solved by strengthening temper, resolving phlegm and eliminating dampness.
9. pudendal dampness or eczema: dampness is heavy and turbid, similar to water, so it belongs to yin, lower body and the whole reproductive system, which is easy to hurt the lower part of human body. Dampness in the body often leads to lower limb edema, eczema and other diseases; Female genitals will be wet, itchy and smelly; Men are characterized by wet scrotum and itching.
Three kinds of exercises help the body to eliminate dampness and reduce swelling.
Most people with heavy moisture in their bodies lack exercise. The less exercise, the more water they accumulate. In addition to paying attention to a light diet and eating less cold fruits and vegetables, proper exercise can play a role in strengthening the spleen, helping to promote the circulation of qi and blood and accelerate the elimination of dampness.
1. Shoot out the water in the body
Clap the thenar of both hands: clap your hands with the strength of clapping, with the focus on patting the thenar of both hands. People with heavy moisture in their bodies will appear blue or purple after taking pictures here. Clap your hands15 for 20 minutes every day, which is helpful to shoot the water trapped in your body.
Grasp the armpit 1.2 times a day: the armpit is the place with the densest axillary lymph, and it is also the place where moisture is easy to accumulate in the body. Regular massage and rubbing can promote the discharge of moisture. In addition, the apex of the armpit is Jiquan point (where the axillary artery beats), which is an important point of the heart meridian. Rubbing or poking armpit 1 twice a day, 36 times each time, can play the role of widening chest, regulating qi, dredging collaterals and activating collaterals.
Punching at Quchi point of cubitus fossa: Qi and blood stasis are most likely to occur at cubitus fossa, especially at Quchi point at the lateral end of cubitus transverse stripes (the midpoint of the connecting line between elbow flexion and Chize point and the external epicondyle of humerus), which is a place where dampness is easy to gather. You can often pat the elbow fossa for 5 10 minutes each time, so as to feel sore, which can dredge qi and blood and promote the discharge of damp evil.
2. Practice yoga-triangle wet.
Yoga is a kind of dynamic exercise, with kinetic energy rising yang, which can turn yang into dampness. Practicing more than three times a week can help us get rid of moisture in our bodies. The following is a brief introduction to the triangle:
Triangle: upright, with legs horizontally separated by about 3 shoulder widths (two at first). Keep your arms straight horizontally, exhale, slowly tilt your upper body to the left, extend your left hand downward to grab your left ankle, extend your right arm upward, keep your eyes on the fingertip of your right hand for a few seconds, and then repeat the above actions 20 times in the opposite direction.
Yoga triangle can stretch the muscles on both sides of the legs, waist and abdomen, just to exercise the spleen and get rid of dampness. (Recommended reading: eliminating dampness and relieving exterior syndrome) Drink three kinds of tea to keep one body away from moisture)
3. Enhance waist function, stimulate kidney yang to eliminate moisture in the body.
The waist is the house of the kidney, and the two kidneys are at the waist. Regular waist rubbing can promote the circulation of qi and blood in the waist, enhance the function of the kidney, stimulate the yang of the kidney, and help to drive away the evil of cold and dampness in the body. Simple and easy 3 strokes to strengthen the waist:
Waist tapping: Hold empty fists in both hands and tap the lumbosacral part (waist and back) alternately rhythmically, with no pain as the degree. Pay attention to the wrist force when knocking, and knock 36 times repeatedly from top to bottom.
Grasping the waist: hands akimbo, thumb in front, the other four fingers on both sides of the lumbar spine. Scratch the skin outward with the belly of four fingers, and repeatedly scratch it 36 times with a little force. Be careful not to scratch your skin with your nails.
Waist rotation: upright, feet apart, shoulder width, hands akimbo, 4 fingers in front, thumb behind; Take the lumbar spine as the axis, rotate in the order of leaning forward, extending left hand and right hand, and rotate the waist clockwise and counterclockwise for 9 times. Pay attention to move slowly when turning your waist, and don't use too much force or too fast to avoid spraining your waist.
