First of all, jeans must be washed once before changing to prevent them from shrinking and shortening after changing. The length of trousers should refer to your original suitable trousers, so the long ones are better than the short ones, because jeans will become fat and short after wearing them.
1. Fold the hem from the front of the trousers;
2. Turn the edge of the water mill back;
3. Tidy up the trousers, measure the length of the whole trousers from the position on the figure with a ruler, and adjust the trouser legs if the length is not suitable;
4. Fix the hem of trousers with large stitches;
The sewing machine is along the inside of the water mill, so I just need to sew a circle where the red line is drawn.
6. Ironing the front of pants;
7. Cut off the extra part inside, wrap the edge, and fix the white thread part of the fabric with a needle, so that it can't be seen from the front;
8. This is a good effect.
Second, the method of modifying jeans:
1, find the length that suits you. Make sure how much you want to shorten your pants so that you know how long to sew the hem. Put on your pants and measure how much cloth you need to cut with a tape measure. Generally speaking, the trouser leg should be around 1.25 cm from the ground, but it all depends on your personal preference.
Step 2 measure the size. Take off your trousers and spread them on a smooth surface. Measure the distance from the existing hem to the trouser leg with a tape measure (generally about 1.25cm, but it depends on the trousers style).
3. Fix the trousers with a pin. Nail some pins on the trouser leg to be modified, and the hem will be sewn here. Then, pin the second row of pins above the new seam. The distance between the two rows of stitches and the distance between the hem and the original hem are the same (usually 1.25 cm). During the modification, the original hem will remain unchanged, so the second row of pins must slightly reduce the increased length of the original hem.
