How about Mazu statue?
The white marble Mazu statue produced by Zhenhua Sculpture Factory, the largest professional white marble sculpture enterprise in Fujian, arrived at the Shanghai World Expo Park and appeared in the first exhibition area of Fujian Pavilion. This Mazu statue is carved from a whole piece of Burmese white marble, with a height of 3.23 meters. Its image resembles the Mazu stone platform in Mazu Park on Meizhou Island, and it is the largest white marble statue of Mazu in Chinese mainland at present. At the end of 2009, the Putian Municipal Government, Mazu's hometown, received a letter from the office of the Preparatory Committee for Fujian's participation in the 20 10 Shanghai World Expo, requesting Putian to install a Mazu statue in the Fujian Pavilion of the Shanghai World Expo before April 10. After consultation, investigation and comparison, Putian Municipal Government finally decided to select a whole piece of Myanmar white marble to be produced by Zhenhua Sculpture Factory. Because the weight of the sculpture exceeded the bearing capacity per unit area required by the Shanghai World Expo, after many times of communication with the exhibition team of the Shanghai World Expo, the statue arrived in Shanghai Anzuo ahead of schedule, and then the pavilion was capped. After more than two months of hard work, this white marble Mazu statue was finally carved. White marble Mazu statue-the most important process of raw material carving is to make clay sculptures in the same proportion as the statues. Therefore, before going to bed every day, he will imagine his thoughts in his mind. "After some consideration, I finally locked the focus of the sculpture in the treatment of the facial expression of the statue." Qin Jianhua said that it only took him 10 days to make this clay sculpture, and he handled all the details of facial expressions himself. Because the whole sculpture is vivid, rich in facial expressions and smooth in various lines, it has also been affirmed by the Provincial World Expo Office and Meizhou Mazu Tempel. Although the clay sculpture model has been made, the transportation of carving raw materials has become a difficult problem. The statue carved this time is 3.23 meters high, taking the meaning of Mazu's birthday on March 23 of the lunar calendar, and is carved from a whole piece of Burmese white marble. According to this size, there are more than 30 tons of Burmese white marble needed, and there is no car to pull this weight. In order to reduce the weight of the material, I went to a factory in Myanmar, and distributed the whole white marble on the raw materials according to the lines of the clay sculpture and the original measured size, and made a blank of the statue. In this way, although the weight of the "slimming" white marble is still 18 tons, it is reduced by nearly half compared with the original 30 tons and can be transported back to Fujian.
