American javelin anti-tank missile adopts infrared guidance, which is the first portable anti-tank missile with focal plane array technology in the world. The missile launch control system consists of an infrared sensor and a multi-mode tracker. The infrared sensor has 4096 detection units, working in the far infrared band of 8 ~ 10 micron. The multimode tracker can automatically capture, track and attack the target according to the search program, so it belongs to the missile without control after launch.
