Can mineral water raise fish?
This is not allowed.

"Raising water before raising fish" is the experience of fish farmers. What kind of water to choose for keeping goldfish and how to protect the water quality are the keys to keeping goldfish well.

(1) Types of water

(1) River and lake water: mild water quality, abundant plankton, limited convenience and low cost. However, due to serious pollution in recent years, there are too many humus, bacteria and parasites, which are not suitable for keeping goldfish without strict treatment.

② Well water and spring water: generally, it is hard water with less pollution and more mineral content. Because of its convenient access and low cost, it is one of the ideal water bodies for raising goldfish. Raising goldfish with well water and spring water can also make goldfish colorful. However, attention should be paid to using these two kinds of water to raise fish:

First, because they all belong to groundwater, the water temperature is quite different from the ground temperature, especially in summer, when the water temperature of well water and spring water is low, it is forbidden to directly flush or pour fish into the syringe (pool) or immediately put them into the well water and spring water that has just been punched. In this way, goldfish are easy to get colds and other diseases, and even die seriously.

Second, in winter, although the water temperature of well water and spring water is higher than the air temperature, their oxygen content is low. Therefore, when using well water and spring water in winter or summer, people with conditions had better let the water stand and dry for more than half a day before using it.

(3) Tap water: It contains chlorine, which affects the survival of goldfish. But tap water has the advantage of less bacteria and parasites, and it is easy to get. It is the main water widely used to raise goldfish at home and abroad. It is best to sun 1 ~ 2 days before use. In case of urgent need, you can put 10 ~ 12 grains of baking soda (sodium thiosulfate) in every 50kg of tap water (depending on the chlorine content of tap water in different places) and use it after stirring to remove chlorine.

In addition, untreated rainwater and distilled water have proved unsuitable for feeding goldfish directly.

Goldfish is a natural art of life, with peculiar posture, bright colors and dancing, which has always been loved by our people. Here are some ways to raise goldfish at home:

First, we should pay attention to "water". As the saying goes, "fish and water" fully illustrates the relationship between fish and water and the importance of water to fish. Clean lake water, river water, well water, spring water and tap water can all be used to raise goldfish. But the well water should be put in the bucket for two days before use, because it is warm in winter and cool in summer, which is easy to make the water temperature in the fish tank suddenly change, leading to goldfish catching cold and getting sick. Tap water contains chlorine and bleaching powder smell, so it needs to be exposed to the sun for two or three days to let the smell run away before use (if it is winter, it needs to be put for two more days). Therefore, general fish farmers are used to using containers to prepare fresh water for standby, rather than finding water temporarily to get it. People who raise fish for the first time often don't understand this truth, which leads to the death of fish.

The water in the fish tank needs to be changed, but it should not be changed completely often. Under normal circumstances, sewage can be pumped out of the water every morning, about a quarter to a third of the water can be pumped out, and then the spare new water can be replenished. If it is in Huangmei season or when the weather is hot, change the water more. It should be noted that sometimes the fish floats on the water with its mouth half exposed to breathe. Even if people touch the edge of the cylinder with their hands, they will still float on the water or immediately float on the water to breathe after sinking.

This phenomenon is called "calling water", which means that there is a serious lack of oxygen in water. The water should be completely replaced immediately and put into fresh water, otherwise the goldfish will suffocate. If it is found that the fish is on the verge of suffocation and shock due to lack of oxygen, it should be rescued manually immediately. The method is as follows: gently hold the fish with your hands, blow it twice at the mouth of the fish, then put it into standby fresh water and gently paddle the water at the mouth of the fish for about five minutes, which can generally save the fish. Then keep the fish in shallow water (just as deep as the fish).

In short, to a certain extent, it can also be said that raising fish is raising water. Only when the water is raised can the fish be raised well.

Second, fish feed. It is best to feed fresh fish worms or dried fish worms. Others, such as rice grains, bread crumbs, steamed bread crumbs and crab seeds (which need to be soaked in boiling water before use), can be used as feed for goldfish. Feed it once a day, after changing water in the morning. Feeding should not be too much (it is easy for fish to overeat and die), so it is better to eat it properly. Don't spend the night in the fish tank, clean it up in time, otherwise it will easily deteriorate the water quality.

Third, goldfish can be raised in glass fish tanks, porcelain pots, pottery pots and cement pools. In general families, glass fish tanks are the best, small in size and suitable for indoor display. Clear and transparent, easy to watch. There are several kinds of glass fish tanks to choose from: (1) round fish tanks. Small size, suitable for raising small fish of 5 ~ 7 cm. After adding water to the cylinder, the fish looks fatter and more attractive from the side because of refraction.

(2) Rectangular cylinder. Large size, can raise medium and large fish above 8 cm.

(3) hang the fish tank. For the Yangtze River Delta, one side looks like a picture frame, suitable for hanging on the wall, and still looks like a moving painting. In addition, some pebbles, rockeries, ceramic pavilions, towers and bridges are properly arranged in the fish tank, and some aquatic plants are planted, which is like a beautiful picture scroll, which can increase the viewing effect. Where the fish tank is placed, there should be proper sunshine and good ventilation; Avoid direct sunlight in summer and get more sunshine in winter.
