Slow three's basic footwork

Waltz is represented by W, also known as "slow three step". One of the modern dance competitions. The dance music is beautiful and lyrical, with a rhythm of 3/4 adagio, 28 ~ 30 bars per minute.

Waltz is known as the "queen" in dance. Most of them are mainly dance steps such as rotation, and the dance steps are ups and downs, whirling and stretching, elegant and smooth. Take 3/4 beats as fun, and the rhythm is strong → strong → weak. Beat every step and jump three steps in a small cycle. The first step falls on the strong beat, and the dance steps are large, medium and small. Take the first step, first gently touch the ground with your left heel, with a long stride and a low center of gravity; In the second and third steps, the center of gravity is gradually raised and the forefoot touches the ground.

1. Go straight ahead, go straight back (men step left and women step right alternately)

Male gesture: When the male partner turns 90 degrees in the second beat, the male partner's right hand and left hand cooperate, suggesting that the female partner turns right and controls its rotation angle.

6. Left turn body 180 jump method

Preparatory posture: step forward and dance in a closed position.

Male gesture: When the male partner rotates 180 in the second beat, the cooperation of the male partner's right hand and left hand implies that the female partner turns left and controls the rotation angle.

7. 180 right-turn body jumping method

Preparatory posture: step forward and dance in a closed position.

Male gesture: On the second beat, when the male partner turns 180, the male partner's right hand and left hand cooperate, suggesting that the female partner turns right and controls the angle of improvement.

8. Left continuous twist 180 jump method

Preparatory posture: step forward and dance in a closed position.

Male gesture: On the second beat, when the male partner turns left 180, the male partner's left hand and right hand cooperate, which implies that the female partner turns left and controls the angle of improvement.

In the fourth beat, the male partner's left hand cooperates with his right hand, suggesting that the female partner turns left and controls the angle of the improved body.

9. Right continuous twist 180 jump method

Preparatory posture: step forward and dance in a closed position.

Male gesture: when the male partner turns right on the second beat 180, the male partner's right hand cooperates with his left hand to prompt the female partner to turn right and control the steering angle.

In the fourth beat, the male partner's left hand and right hand turn right on time to control the angle of the improved body.

Sliding teaching of mechanical dance foundation

(1) in-situ sliding:

Preparation posture: Stand with your feet side by side and your arms droop naturally.

Action process: lift the heel, left foot, and the center of gravity of the body falls on the palm of the front foot. After the left foot presses the heel, the right foot straightens and slides backwards. Then, after the toes leave the ground, bend the leg forward to the original position, lift the heel right foot and heel the right foot at the same time, and then complete the action that the right foot is the supporting foot and the left foot slides backwards. Two feet slide alternately in the same place.

Practice tip: practice one-arm in-situ sliding, two-arm forward wave, up and down wave. At ordinary times, we should strengthen the heel lifting training of feet or loads to improve the strength of beating ankles and toes.

(2) Front skateboard:

Preparatory posture: same as above.

Action process: First, straighten your left leg and slide forward one step in the toe direction, then lift your heel, straighten your left foot and slide forward one step in the toe direction. At this time, the left foot presses the heel, the right foot lifts the heel, and the two feet slide forward alternately. Exercise tip: the toe direction of forward sliding can be straight ahead or outside.

Action process: when lifting the heel and pressing the heel, the right foot is straight and the whole sole is smooth backwards; When the toe of the right foot slides to the heel of the left foot, the toe points to the ground, the heel is raised, and the instep is vertical to the ground; Then the right foot presses the heel, the left foot straightens and the whole sole is smooth backwards, so that the toes point to the heel of the right foot, the toes point to the ground, the heel of the left foot is lifted, the instep is vertical to the ground, and the left and right feet alternately complete the backward sliding action.

Practice tips:

The main point of action is that one foot follows the ground and the other heel is raised, and it is repeated alternately. When the rear slipper stops sliding, the toe points to the ground and the instep is vertical to the ground. If you are skilled, you can increase the stride of backward sliding. Pay attention to control the center of gravity when practicing.

Step 2 lift your heel and slide back

Preparation posture: Stand with your feet side by side and your arms droop naturally.

Action process: the left foot is the supporting foot, the knee joint of the right leg is straight, the whole sole slides back to the heel of the left foot, and the left foot lifts the heel. The left knee joint extends to the sole of the foot and then slides to the right foot, and the right foot lifts the heel. The left and right feet slide backwards alternately.

Practice tips:

When taxiing, lift heel's ipsilateral shoulder is lifted upward, which is matched with the reverse transmission technology of single arm joint.

(4) lateral sliding:

1. Heel press horizontal slide

Ready posture: feet open about two feet, toes forward, feet apart.

Action process: the toes are facing left, and the heel of the heel is raised close to the heel of the right foot. When the left foot presses the heel, the right foot is straight, the whole sole is smooth to the right, and the toes step forward, so that the horizontal sliding action to the right can be continuously completed.

Exercise tip: The number of horizontal slides left and right can be freely slid according to the needs of the action.

2. Cross-slide with double heels.

Ready posture:

Your feet are left and right, your toes are in a figure of eight, and your arms naturally droop.

Action process; (Take skidding to the right as an example)

The center of gravity of the human body moves to the right. When the legs are propped up to the right, the two heels are lifted, and the right foot drives the left foot to move one foot to the right, so that the lifted heels of the two heels are close together, and the right foot moves one step to the right to restore the preparation posture.

Exercise tip: The main point of action is that the waist and buttocks drive the body's center of gravity to move.

3. Cross sliding steps

Preparation posture: open your feet left and right, turn your left toe to the left, and your arms will naturally droop.

Action process: (Take sliding horizontally to the right as an example) Lift the heel with the left foot, and the heel is close to the right heel. When the left foot presses the heel, the right leg is straight and the whole sole slides one step to the right. Then the forefoot of both feet quickly makes the toes exceed the inside. When the left foot crosses the right foot (toe crosses the right foot), the forefoot of both feet continues to grind the ground, so that the toe of the left foot crosses the left side and the heel is raised at the same time. At this point, the toe of the right foot has turned straight ahead. Prepare to start the second cross slide.

Exercise Tip: The key point of this slide is the ground grinding action of the forefoot. To make two feet move on two parallel lines, beginners must first move to the ground.

Practice sliding in one direction, and then complete the cross sliding steps on the left and right sides after proficiency.

Step 4 turn around and slide sideways

Prepare for action: same as above.

Action process: lift the heel of the left foot and make the toes exceed the left. When the heel of the left foot is close to the arch of the right foot, press the heel with the left foot, straighten the right leg, and slide horizontally one step to the left. At this time, the left foot touches the ground, the right foot lifts the heel, the left foot straightens and rotates to the tip of the right foot, and the body rotates to the right and back 180 degrees, then the right foot touches the ground, the left foot lifts the heel, and the right leg straightens and slides one step to the right. Repeat the action like this.

Exercise tip: The key to the action is to press the heel while sliding the other leg.
