On March 20 15, Xinfang Song, deputy to the National People's Congress and vice president of China Bee Products Association, and others suggested at the Third Session of the 12th National People's Congress that market supervision should be strengthened to crack down on counterfeiting and selling, especially in view of the current situation of honey and propolis counterfeiting, there should be effective methods to distinguish between true and false, so as to ensure that there are laws to follow in the process of counterfeiting and supervision.
Because China's national health and safety honey standard with compulsory function has not been revised, there is no strong law enforcement basis for grassroots counterfeiting. Xinfang Song believes that this is the main reason for the confusion of the honey market and the proliferation of fake and shoddy products.
Therefore, this year, he suggested revising and improving the quality standards of various bee products as soon as possible, and formulating national mandatory standards with anti-counterfeiting function and distinguishing authenticity.
The current national standard for honey industry is the National Standard for Food Safety Honey (GB14963-20 1 1), which was implemented on 201year and published in 2005 (GB1877)
After the release of the new national standard, it once caused a controversy in the industry. The focus is that (GB14963-2011) is mainly biased towards hygiene standards, not quality. According to the "New Express" report, some insiders said that although the new regulations stipulate the definition and source of honey and have detailed requirements on physical and chemical indicators and microorganisms, it is still difficult to detect fake honey.
The chaos in the honey market gave birth to "Proposal 8 187"
20 14 10, the state food and drug administration informed that the food and drug administration of Jianjun Town, Yongshou County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province investigated and dealt with a case of cooking fake honey with white sugar, glucose powder and alum, and adding unknown additives and pollen essence. And seized more than 4000 kilograms of cooked fake honey on the spot.
In fact, honey adulteration and fraud not only exist in small households and retail investors, but also online shopping for honey is the "hardest hit". The sampling results of 20 14 honey products sold online announced by China Bee Products Association at the end of last year showed that 13 of the 20 honey products sold in Taobao, Tmall and JD.COM Mall were mixed with non-honey substances such as rice syrup and beet syrup. These "processed" honey products still claim to be "earth honey", which makes it difficult for consumers to distinguish between true and false.
The main harmful substance in fake honey is alum. Frequent consumption of alum-containing products, in which aluminum ions can accumulate in liver, brain, kidney and spleen organs, reduce the activity of antioxidant enzymes, affect the brain and lead to memory loss, as well as diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
Xinfang Song said in an interview with the media that at present, the phenomenon of counterfeiting and selling fake bee products in the market is extremely serious, and it is getting worse and worse, which seriously harms the development of bee industry, destroys the market order of bee products and damages the rights and interests of consumers.
He told this newspaper that since he was elected as a deputy to the National People's Congress in 2008, he has put forward many suggestions to the National People's Congress on the problems existing in honey and beekeeping, with the focus on improving the quality standards of bee products.
20 14 The National Health and Family Planning Commission consulted the State, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. In response to Song's proposal No.2556, the Health Planning Commission said that it would be based on the problems existing in the national food safety standard (GB 14963-20 165438) and the actual honey production in China.
