2. Humai, also known as Lin Hao Chaoer or Chaoer, is a unique multi-part performing art of Mongolian people. The overtone produced by one person with the bass sustain of a part forms harmony with more than two parts. Humai can be sung by one person or by many people. It is mainly distributed in Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang in the north of China, western Mongolia and Tuva in Russia, and has been passed down since13rd century.
