Suture and ligation is suitable for those with large eye fissure, thin eyelid, less fat and no slack upper eyelid skin. Suture and ligation are simple and easy to operate. Usually, the "non-surgical" and "sewing a needle" double eyelids mentioned in beauty advertisements belong to this category. When the surgical effect is not good, it can be corrected by incision. Those who are dissatisfied with the shape of the double eyelids can cut the knot and return to the original single eyelid within a few days after operation. Postoperative swelling was slight, and there was no obvious scar on the incision. Its disadvantage is that after the adhesion between eyelid and meibomian is relaxed, the upper eyelid folds become shallow or even disappear, and the loose upper eyelid skin and excessive orbital fat can not be removed during the operation. This method has limited indications and is only suitable for young people with thin eyelid skin, eye wheel abrasion and less orbital diaphragm fat. And the formed double eyelids quickly disappear.

Catgut embedding is suitable for patients with thin subcutaneous tissue of upper eyelid and inconspicuous orbital septum fat. Suture embedding method embeds suture knot between dermis and meibomian and keeps it permanently, which is stronger than suture ligation method, but it must master the correct anatomical level. Its disadvantage is that the buried suture knot is easy to loosen and the double eyelid is easy to disappear, but it can be buried again to form a firm adhesion.

Incision is to cut the skin of the upper eyelid, so that the double eyelids are anatomically similar to natural double eyelids. This method is applicable to any subject. Double eyelids will not disappear. For elderly patients with loose skin and wrinkles or swelling of orbital diaphragm fat, a little skin and part of orbital diaphragm fat can also be removed to relieve the symptoms of upper eyelid relaxation and edema. The disadvantage is that postoperative swelling is obvious, and some patients have swollen for a long time, leaving a slight incision scar in the early stage.

Although double eyelid surgery has added a lot of charm to people, some people, such as saddle nose (low nose) and epicanthus, still need comprehensive correction to achieve the ideal effect. Some people don't do this operation if the eye fissure is narrow, the eyeball is too prominent, and the distance from the upper edge of eyelid to eyebrow is too narrow. In addition, congenital amblyopia, acute and chronic ocular inflammation are not suitable for surgery, and those with coagulation disorders and scar constitution are strictly prohibited.
